Stan James stopped taking bets on anyone and so have Paddy Power. Local Paddy Power said their odds were same as Sky. So I think Butcher is about to take the role.
Barnsley enquire about Westley?(Rumour)
Butcher is apparently flying back to Inverness this afternoon to talk the matter over with his board at Inverness before deciding whether to take the Barnsley job & all parties expect a final decision to be made around tea time tonight.
Westley has had almost a year now but we're lower than when he started. I'm all for stability and giving managers lots of time, however there's no point backing the wrong man. If we lose tomorrow at Coventry, Westley should show some dignity and resign.
Its time for a new Record. Westley will be here until after weekend at the Very Least, so lets support the team and worry about Westley after that.

Apperntly Westley didn't take training yesterday, for the first time since joining us, could be something to do with the Garner deal but seriously cant imagine us signing a player or him signing if Westley was off to Barnsley

Managers are hardly biting the hand off Barnsley for the job, maybe lack of funds etc. Would suit Westley down to a tee (fingers crossed)!

O Driscoll turned them down. I'd love Westley to go Barnsley, just don't see them being interested one bit.
If he does go I hope Westley doesn't come back and take all our great players..

Guess you meant apparently, and that's the key word.

Terry Butcher has turned down the Barnsley Job, Barsley will now look at their next option on the list
BBC Radio Sheffield reporter Paul Walker has just said on twitter page that Bucher has officially turn Barnsley down to become their new Manager & it's also on SSnews now.

Brilliant news indeed. Anyone have the number for Barnsley FC so I can give them a call and recommend they contact Trev for permission to speak to Westley immediately?

Or, conversley, sit patiently realising the strategy is only at its beginning and reap the rewards later.
Ive often said that while we wont achieve success under GW, the next manager will inherit a much better situation than he did.
Beck did a similar thing.
The difference is that Beck brought fans in - Westley is driving thousands away 🙁
BSK won't like this
......................................SKY.............................Stan James
Gary Megson...................7/4.................................2
David Flitcroft....................3..................................2
Neil Redfearn.....................5..................................4
Graham Westley ................6...........................No Odds offered

Beck also came in when the club was still in the worst 10 or so years of its history. We've now ended the best 10-15 years in most fans' lifetimes.
For Beck, the only way was up and people bought into it. Crowds near doubled in 3 years. But no matter how well Westley does, the ghosts of the likes of Moyes, Davies, Gregan, Fuller, Macken, Nugent etc. are still fresh in most peoples minds. I've no doubt the fans will return once the team starts winning again - in the meantime, its little wonder that people have turned away.
Guess not happening, sky now 33-1, victor 20-1 and Stan James 10-1.
