Johnstone is the better keeper, people who don't see that are clueless.

Some use the Stuckmann argument to have another go at Graysons tenure/regime when the lad hasn't conceded in 3 games, to bring his selection into question is pathetic from some (liberation).

Some are clearly hoping for a costly mistake from him soon so they can immediately get on his back and call for Stuckmann's return.

Two very poor clearances, the first of which nearly cost us a goal.
I concede the second clearance wasn't helped by a iffy back pass.

However, my biggest concern is his lack of command of the six yard box.

Hope he proves me wrong, but at the moment, he's not better than Stuckers.

I have a lot of confidence in Johnstone. Amazes me how people are so quick to be critical goalkeepers.
He did make a kicking error or two but to me he looks confident , The people at Man united have obviously seen enough in his time coming through the ranks to keep him until his early twenties. I guess Sir Alex , David moyes etc know a bit more than us.
 
There's no right or wrong, both keepers have good points and faults -that's why they are playing in this division. Confidence is such a vital part of any players performance and how you bounce back when you've made a costly mistake. Look at Mignolet for Liverpool-before Christmas he couldn't catch a cold and now he's kept a string of clean sheets. We're lucky that we've 2 good keepers at this level and it doesn't really worry me with which one's playing.

I don't believe the first team managers are looking at the youth players and deciding whether or not to keep them around. It is hardly an issue for a club like Man United to keep some guys on a reasonable contract and leave them sitting in the u21's until a championship club decided to take a punt on them.



Johnstone can certainly pick a man out when he throws it but his kicking has been nothing to shout about so far. He has hit a few goal kicks very low down, one bounced straight through the middle for SEB to score recently which was nice but all it takes is a player to stick his head in the way and we are relying on Hunts/Clarke to chase down and man running through one on one. Accident waiting to happen.
