Ok my first thread....

Should the club close the BSKop to home fans...?

My thoughts....

Move all the fans to available seats on other stands so the ground doesn't look so empty, move the singers back to the Town End to be in acumbance with the Drummers... thus bruinging back the atmosphere we used to have....

BSK Season Ticket holders - refund\seat reallocation - your choice???

Your choice??? It was my choice at the beginning of the season to buy a season ticket in the BSK, and that is where I hope to be remained(moved when away clubs fill their allocation).

Halfway through a season, to say to a customer you need to move or you can have your money back will not do the club any favours.

If they are to host the home fans in 3 sides of the ground then it would be wise to do this at the start of the season. Giving fans the choice before purchasing a season ticket of where they wish to sit.

I'd rather close the Town End, I haven't heard them sing since 2001

However if you're offering me a full refund I'd take it.

Been here a thousand times.

Supporters who sit in the BSK are just as valued as any other supporters and therefore shutting the stand half way through a season is outrageous.

Besides most PNE managers prefer having supporters behind both goals, hence the time there was no home fans in the BSK was a brief one.

We need the whole stadium to get behind the team.

Yes i agree that the choice was given to buy the season ticket, but how will it not do the club any favours what im suggesting is for the good of the club, whats wrong with the club going out cap in hand to all BSK ST holders and saying look the atmosphere is abysmal the ground looks so empty please will you move so that we can create a better amosphere for the team and for the fans and club will facilitate\compensate for the move...

I dont want to sit there with empty seats all around me and watch games with no vocal support for the team i would much rather have plenty of fans around having a good old crack at a few chants hopefully prompting the team to play better which it does......

Agree with this 100% John.

The club need to be looking at more ways to fill the stadium, not closing parts of the ground which is likely to only give some people an extra reason to stay away. The BSK with 100 away fans in it and no one else would look awful. Personally I'd like to see the BSK the main home end again and Town End split between home and away but I guess the logistics for the away supporters coaches mean that will never happen now.

Didn't you try to sell/give away your season ticket? BSKnever?

On the BSK - its the extra cost of segregation that ramps up the costs.

Give it all to the Away lot .

That way we might get enough PNE fans who want to sing - all signing from the same Hymn Sheet. At he same time.

By favours I was meaning that they will be upsetting the fans who sit on the kop. After sitting on the town end for the Chesterfield and didn't really enjoy it, but prefer to sit behind the goal to the sides. Ask the town end fans to move and I'm sure they will be of the same opinion.

Apart from that singing section I agree! It's the most depressing stand, Just people moaning on there but I'm going to go ahead and say that yes I have been one of the fans moaning at times!
Counting down the days I return to the UK to watch the boys! Hopefully in better circumstances mind

Time to get your ears tested then.

don't need to, if you sit in the kop I promise you, you do not hear the TE in any game ever. I'm not saying it won't be the same if you sit in the TE you might not hear the kop (I wouldn't argue that, perhaps the stadium accustics are shit). All I can say is from the kop the TE make not a peep.

The kop makes more noise in my opinion because we take no notice of the reserved seating and fans have the space to move around, group friends together and make noise.

Sadly the reserved seating on the TE fucks that up royally and you can't hear them. You might think I'm exaggerating if you regularly sit on the TE but I guarantee you, you can't hear them at all ever.

Go on TE quite a bit...forced to go 3 times a season when they move us all, but prolly another 3 times a year as well as mates move around. It's always deathly quiet.

Shame cos it was the bollox when it was all standing.

But then the whole ground was rocking in those days, all seating then reserve seating killed deepdale atmosphere.
