Can we forget the "Relegation would be a chance to reset stuff?"
Relegation is a disaster. Income falls, budgets fall and if we're lucky we battle back to where we already were!
Fans complain about the dross we're served up but at least there are some decent opposition players to watch in the championship unlike league one which is grim!
If things carry on as they are we'd struggle in league one anyway! I'm sure we'll get the opportunity to find out next season and though I'm resigned to it I'd sooner be the Burton of the championship (thanks Hemmings and Ridsdale) than actually go back there!

I was very annoyed at last statement -it was on the verge of being misleading. It’ll be very interesting how Hemmings and he squirm out of this one. These 2 muppets have been sold a very fast one - and fallen for it . You’ll see
Yes I don’t understand the last statement it’s all confusing and doesn’t say in black and white if it is going through or given any time scale. We had the whole end of last season where Hecky was creaming himself that something is cooking and here we are bottom of the table, no strikers and on the verge of relegation with a manager who has no previous experience at this level and playing the most boring football with no attacking intent. Bradford fans were right saying if you manage to keep a clean sheet, you may be able to nick with a goal. In our case we can’t do any!!

Wow, that was poor.

I think that it's ridiculous to blame Alexander for this though. He is as close to having a fan in charge as it's possible to be. He has inherited a shambles, possibly others could see it and withdrew from the process. I'm sure Alexander will have been given all manner of assurances but he must have enough contacts to know what he was walking in to. The fact he still took it on is in my book due to the emotional link he has

Hecky has overseen a period of record spending and yet left us with a dramatically worse squad. The gaps have been masked by quality loans as many have said. That has fallen apart now.

There have been times when we've at least matched the opposition in most of the matches. Watford away I thought we were by far the better team for long periods, even tonight we did pretty well for the first 25 minutes or so.

As soon as we concede that is it. I watched on the TV and turned off a 3-0. There was one moment when Devine was with their captain as the ball was rolling towards the corner flag and he seemed to give up without even challenging the defender. TV cameras went to our bench and Alexander could be seen watching the screen with Euell for a few seconds before waving his hand and shaking his head in frustration. I'm assuming it was that passage of play.

I think there are players in the squad with ability to get out of this, clearly including Devine but they simply can't be arsed and have zero confidence. The fact that the squad is totally imbalanced makes it worse.

Others are mentioning Shay Reid, I've no idea if he's up to it yet but he would at least be a new option.

The season can be saved, I really hope players buy in to it. Some of the regulars need a match on the bench as a wake up.

Think the best thing to happen to us will be to get relegated and get Alexander to build a team capable of competing and hopefully do an Ipswich.

Birmingham were relegated to league 1 and got promoted and are now competing for top 6.
Birmingham aren’t lumbered with Hemmings and Ridsdale though, I’d feel more optimistic if I thought our takeover was going to happen but it has all gone very quiet.

All those thinking relegation will allow us to reset, the best football and days out where in the lower divisions, well you better accept getting used to it.
There will be no investment from the present regime, the budget will be cut for the division, there will be no promotion war chest.
If we can't find a buyer in the championship it won't happen in League 1.
We will be signing lower league dross and fighting off relegation down to League 2.
Seen it all before, done it got the T-shirt and all that, was in my late teens, early 20's won't be arsed doing it again in my 60's.🥴😡
Anyone thinking relegation to re-set and presumably the thinking is to come back stronger, to me, knows nothing about football in general.
I have seen posts comparing us to the likes of Ipswich, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds, Norwich, etc all big Clubs who would eventually bounce back, as will Leicester and Sheff Wednesday, eventually.
We are with the likes of Barnsley, Huddersfield, Reading, and dare i say it Blackpool who might one day come back!
plus Bradford City if they don't do it.
But with no guarantees.

Heck doesn't know what fucking day it is if the logic of his brain is demonstrated by the team the cunt has happily assembled.

I don’t think the players have responded much to Alexander’s appointment and maybe the style of play he wants ..there has been absolutely no new manager bounce.Given the next set of fixtures (Wrexham/West Brom/Stoke/Southampton/West Ham Alexander could well be looking at 7/8 consecutive defeats from appointment -what on earth happens after that ..

Who would you have employed? That actually wanted the job or was realistic... 2 games in and the knives being sharpened. I wanted Alex Neil back, why would he leave Millwall for this shitshow. Probably the best appointment we could have made given the state the club is being run in currently
Well he certainly wasn't my choice but let's be honest, whoever we got would have struggled to do anything with this shower.

Particularly against Millwall and Brum

The style he's trying to implement isn't very complicated. They can't do it. Some aren't running enough either.
