Well that was poor, comedy goal but to be honest they wanted it more than us, are we allowed to shoot?
Never mind Vicarage Road next and they seem to have found form

Low risk football and management. Today he might have won but at worst we'd lose 1-0. But lose 4-1, and then repeat it, he's got the fans on his back putting pressure on the board again. He's seeing out the season. Good luck to him.

Many claimed Whiteman hated Lowe yet he was happy enough to sign a new deal. I think Browne's fine with Lowe, just a question whether he fancies a fresh challenge at this stage of his career. It will certainly be 100% his decision with no agent involved which is very refreshing.

Riis a bit more difficult to call and probably in a way tied to Millar coming in permanently or not so really you'd hope for a quick decision rather than a transfer saga going through all of August again.
 
We lost our battles all over the pitch today with the exception of Lindsay, Brady, Hughes and Whatmough, who in the main kept Birmingham at bay. Lindsay was superb but will be remembered for that calamitous slip on his back following Hughes’s fall to leave Stansfield a free run on goal. Brum’ manager Rowatt pulled a masterstroke imo by playing Bacuna high up the left wing forcing Holmes to defend. I’m one of Holmes’ biggest fans but have to admit he had a very poor game. Our 2 front men couldn’t hold the ball up and Mads was way off the pace. McCann and N Mawene struggled to have any possession and failed to link up with the front three. I don’t blame RL for not starting Millar following his injury. Rushing Potts back too soon has lengthened his absence so it’s better to be cautious in the long run. Brady was going so well on the left that Millar had to play on the right. Disappointing but we’re still in the mix in April but hopes of making the playoffs are receding unfortunately.
 
Today was fucking awful.
First of all it took me over 3 hours to get there.
Secondly, we fail to turn up when it really mattered, AGAIN🤬
From the first whistle we were miles off it yet had the best two chances of the half.

Brady🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ when 1 on 1

So often looking for an extra touch or an extra pass before losing the ball and the chance is gone.

Credit where it’s due as well, they barely made a sound until they scored but when they did and in those last few minutes, they were loud as fuck.

3 poor halves of football on the trot against poor teams.Yet we can perform against the top teams when required, and have done this season.

Next weekend is huge now. Season over? No. If you can remember the Cardiff game all those years back, it’s not over until the final whistle of match 46. It’s a disappointing day, but a better weekend than two draws would have been.

Oh dear me. The club accepts mediocrity it’s in the culture of the club no need for anything to be said in the locker room or anywhere else for that matter. Just listen to the media or have they got it wrong too.

And that has made today’s performance so much harder to take. A massive missed opportunity today, and to help Birmingham out of a spot makes it worse. After sacking their Manager when they were in the top 6, Birmingham really do deserve to be relegated, and we’ve thrown them a bloody lifeline.
 
I almost always stay to clap the lads off but I was straight to the exit today. Took me over 3.5 hours to get to Birmingham from Preston, and they played like they’d never played together before.

I don’t think it was a lack of effort, but the lack of quality on display was truly astounding.

Pretty much same as me👍🏻

To think a top 6 place is up for grabs but the lack of urgency from us today was astounding.

Everything was so slow and lethargic.

We sort of kept them at arms length but offered absolutely nothing going forward.
 
Despite missing key players we should still have won that match in the first half. Brady and Mads both made crucially bad decisions when in great positions in their penalty area and Mawene completely miskicked from a great ball from the right
