One swallow doesn't make a Summer and one Devine doesn't make a Team !!The present ownership has underwritten the signing of Devine and sanctioned the pitch refurbishment.
I would imagine that is all of our major spend, anything else will be freebies or out of contract signings and low key ,high risk in quality loanees.🤔🥴
I don’t believe we will see anyone with as much quality as dobbin and Armstrong walk through the door unfortunately, hope I’m proved wrong!Tbf, was Dobbin here at this stage last season? Or Devine for that matter, I know Armstrong certainly wasn’t.
The Lindsay and Hughes comment though, I hear you loud and clear. If a centre back isn’t on the shopping list then it’s a massive worry.
Absolutely, the worrying thing is we’re going to be relying on these boys quite often if we don’t pull our fingers out.
I don’t think the takeover is doing us any favours at the moment, we need people in quickly. We are going to be lining up praying for no injuries and suspensions at this rate.
What takeover? All I see is speculation dating back to January with a bit more intensity around Easter. I was hopeful, excited, but I don't believe anything is going to happen, at least in time to impact this season. It's a relegation scrap for this squad, and we've seen how much fight they have in them when the going gets tough. I've definitely reached the point where my expectations are as low as they were before Ryan Lowe's final summer.I don’t believe we will see anyone with as much quality as dobbin and Armstrong walk through the door unfortunately, hope I’m proved wrong!

That defence last night was an absolute disgrace. Time to rely on Iversen once again as with that defence, we ain't keeping many clean sheets. It's a shambles!

Ecstatic to watch this back three again who constantly look like they're running up the wrong escalator.
Pre- season or not it's embarrassing that these 3 are still even at the Club never mind pretty much1st choice.
Nothing changes, same old post match comments from PH as last season....... 🥴...
Can you see more quality signings that are needed happening before the window closes.......🤔🥴.....One swallow doesn't make a Summer and one Devine doesn't make a Team !!

This is pretty much where I am.
I bought a ST after missing last year for the 1st time in a long time on the back of the takeover which I'm hopeful will still happen but even if it was announced tomorrow time is running out fast for us to see the benefit this season & by then it could be too late.

Pressure on who....there is no pressure on current regime to do sod allAs far as I'm concerned it's a great result. It puts more pressure on the Club to strengthen the squad. Forget about the fitness argument, that applies to all Clubs. Even the score isn't necessarily a worry at this stage of pre -season. What is the worry is watching the same laboured performance from what is a weaker squad than last season. We can all see that. We need a statement from the Club giving reassurances that the issues are going to be addressed and we are not going to start the season with the same players, same stereotypical tactics which can be summed up in one word....CRAP.
What we're the positives Paul?Nothing changes, same old post match comments from PH as last season....... 🥴...

Was he not at the Cambridge game 5 days ago?
Hope springs eternal. 🙄Can you see more quality signings that are needed happening before the window closes.......🤔🥴.....
Without any take over, if there is one potentially going through it will be a very long hard season unless we miraculously make a good number of quality signings before the transfer window closes. What takeover? If and it's a big if there is a take over in the offing, unless it happens pre the transfer window and money is made available, without a number of quality signings the present squad will struggle in this division.🥴

You would understand it a bit more if it was our much heralded new formation but it’s been the standard 8 defensive / 3 offensive tripe that all the players are familiar with. Can't believe he's come out and said we're not organised at the minute. What does he actually get them to do in training?

Same players, same formation, same manager, same tactics.
Loads to look forward to.
The signing of Devine gave hope that a new era was upon us.Same players, same formation, same manager, same tactics.
Loads to look forward to.

As it stands at the moment that was a false dawn.
I am daring to hope that change arrives soon because the uncertainty and state of limbo is not what is needed.

Therefore fulfilling the current owners ambition to return to league 1 ?Without any take over, if there is one potentially going through it will be a very long hard season unless we miraculously make a good number of quality signings before the transfer window closes.
