Brown on TalkSport

Brown needs to take a good look at why he got kicked out. Ignorant fool. He doesn't deserve another job because he hoodwinked his way into our club and delivered jack. Another dishonest individual.

Wouldn't it be nice if the bastards occasionally admitted their errors that had cost us time, money and precious energy. Humility not a strong point.
I always think its good to admit your shortcomings no matter in what walk of life you are in, at least privately if not publicly.

If I was a chairman looking for a new manager and researching Browns track record, I personally would want to know what hes learnt from his mistakes and how he intends to not make them again, not that he hadnt made any and he was a victim of circumstance.

Let's be honest, Brown couldn't see anything wrone with his tactics and/or team selections so how do you expect him to see that he was fairly dismissed? He's not going to say what a bollocks he made of the job or mention the two long runs when we didn't get a win. He will, like most egotists, only tell people how good he is and how it is always someone elses fault that he got the sack. Wake up Brown and smell the coffee instead of rubbing it on your face.

I genuinely believe we would not have won the game at the weekend with Brown in charge. Coutts would have been played on the right, with Mayor on the left and it's probable that Parry would have been played at left-back. I don't think the players weren't trying for him, I just think the tactics were dreadful.

It's a shame as he always came across a likeable bloke, but I don't think he can really complain too much as ultimately it was his management of the team that took us from 2nd to 16th.

Dear mr Brown,

would you have played the team that was played on saturday and in the positions they were played?

We all know the answer to that. This, my friend is why you were shown the door.

I also think he was lucky in being able to carry on for so long. Given that it is doubtful that TH would have done the deed personally, having delegated control and running of the club to ML, it is possible that Lindsay's illness, hospitalisation, and relatively long term absence, from Deepdale, merely prolonged Brown's tenure. In the absence of anyone available to make such an executive decision, Maurice may have felt that he couldn't do this deed from afar, so may have left it up to the new incumbent to make up his own mind about the pros and cons of the manager; something that PR seems to have done pdq. A magnificent...........0-0 home draw, and 1-0 win, against minnows apparently did not disguise, in Ridsdale's eyes, the obvious, and repeated, deficiencies and inadequacies that have been prevalent for several months. He paid the price of inaction, compounded by excuses and deflecting the blame onto others.

It's weird, while sacking him seems harsh in many ways I just think he'd have continued with his daft tactics and selections. I don't dislike the bloke and wish him all the best, I just don't why he was so intent on playing our best footballers in positions they were consistently shit in. He just had to go.
