Yes, we seem to be next to useless without him. Loved that bullet header yesterday.

We need to stop this central midfielder bollocks. He's a deep lying striker/attacking midfielder who links with strikers brilliantly. Stick to one up front and play Browne/Holmes and Mads off the striker and we will walk top six.
 
Also, I really don't want to use the "C-word" but as much as Browne might like to be a one-club man, in January there might be an offer of a very lucrative free-transfer contract, European football and guaranteed trophies from north of the border...

I'm serious. One thing that struck me yesterday, the tragedy of Lowe's tenure is this: he doesn't really need to do much himself. The team don't require the level of 'management' he's inflicting on them.

Yesterday showed that you put everyone in their best positions (and fucking leave them there, don't switch your best player over) and they will match/beat a team with £36m players in it. The players are completely dedicated and some are really talented. Let them play.

Of course, it's just like Are Gaffer to fade into the background and let everyone else do their jobs. 🤣

Paul Simpson did it at Carlisle. When I asked a couple of Carlisle supporting mates what he was like as a manager they both said they didn't really know. He hadn't really done anything. I cited the fact he'd achieved back to back promotions with Carlisle and therefore must have 'done something' but they rightly pointed out that Carlisle had had a fit Michael Bridges and Karl Hawley up front for most of those campaigns. I think Alexander or Mellor said when the players asked him how he had done it, he too had said 'I don't know'. 🤣

Ryan Lowe doesn't need to do much and we'd get top six. He will meddle like fuck and we won't

I understand your optimism especially after a win but consistently over a season we don’t have the strength in depth to stay in the play offs.

I’ll use an example. After our great run of form at the start of the season, McCann got injured for about a month which meant we then had to rely on ledson (as whiteman was just coming back from injury.)

The first team on its day is a match for any team but consistently over a season we need better quality in the squad. All you need is to look at the bench yesterday. We had mads/Keane who could possibly come on to change a game but no one else.

If we get injuries in defence or up front (which we will our back ups just aren’t good enough.) We are also lucky that potts is so stable and hardly gets injured.

Lowe is part of the problem so I’m not saying he shouldn’t be blamed. Another manager could probably get more out of these players. Is the squad play off quality? Not a chance! We need better strength in depth to challenge consistently over a season.

I'm confident they will get this over the line he has stated many times in the past his love for the club and how he wants to see out his career here.

Give the man what he wants Peter and Craig.
