Could you save a relationship after this?

How's your own self confidence? Non of us are Brad Pitt lookalikes.
Speak for yourself! 🤣

On a serious note to the OP, the information sounds more of a one off occurence/tongue in cheek and not something to beat yourself up about.
If your happy most of the time, then forget about it.

You're assuming the OP is a he and the partner is a she.
Cuntish of a bloke to say that to his wife. Bullying probably.
The other way around seems pretty normal, especially after 21 years. We're over 30 together and I just reply in kind.
Probably contradicting myself there.😀
I’d just tell the hubby to eff off.

Well, I did skip out the expletives that was said with it. The reason it's taken me by shock, is because although we have had issue's and arguments, we have never resorted to name calling. As well as this, truth hurts as they say.

On top of this, they decided the best way to say sorry was via text from the other room. When asked how long they felt like this about me, they replied always. They said they chose me because, the good looking one's where cheats and flirts. I was an easy life. Good to know.

As for my looks, well you all seen Gremlin's 2? I not as good looking as them.

Now the question is, do I forgive, I don't go for looks, I prefer personality, even if I did get them wrong.

Thanks for the replies.
Apologising by text is a bit of a cop out, but maybe they felt really bad about what they had just done? As for you being an easy life, maybe they meant they chose you because you are a decent person and they were confident you weren’t a flirt and cheat and life would be as it should be. I’d certainly want someone
Ike that, honest and true. The big thing is, is do they LOVE you? If they do I’d try to get past it, it’s a very hurtful thing to say, but to me it seems like something has been bubbling under the surface and it’s just boiled over. Finally judging by your user name and your comments about yourself, maybe you are not an overly confident person? And what happened has sort of pulled the rug from under your feet. You need to let them know how you REALLY feel after a comment like that. If you can’t do it to their face, maybe leave a note explaining everything and leave them to digest it for a few hours. Apologies in advance if I have misinterpreted anything. Hope you get yourselves sorted.

I feel bad on your behalf mate.
Shouldn't be said like that, sounded like it was full of vitriol. Most likely part of a "mid life crisis". It may pass, or she may buy a Mini convertible. Time will tell.

Let it ride cha!

We all say hurtful things and don’t mean it.

You’ve been together forever. Personality is everything looks are temporary. (Well for most people cause I am outstandingly beautiful)

Words mean shit (as proven by my last comment in brackets)
