Considering going to the game tomorrow but don’t really want to drive. I’d rather get some training in, get a decent few miles on the bike and ride straight to Deepdale.
Does anyone know if there’s anywhere genuinely secure to leave a bike near the ground? I’m talking a decent-ish bike, so ideally bike lockers, secure storage or somewhere indoors — not just chaining it to some railings for two hours and hoping it’s still there afterwards.
Anywhere around Sainsbury’s, Deepdale Retail Park or very close to the ground that anyone knows of?
Serious question — cheers.

I’ve just done a bit of digging….

There is no cycle storage at Deepdale and google suggests just chaining the bike to railings on Moor Park.

The only nearby secure storage is at Preston Railway station, where they have a cycle hub..

It would cost you about £5 in an uber from there to the ground.

Cheers Ando, no chance I'll chain it to railings and the railway station isn't that close - I might run it and still get the training in!
 
Might be worth contacting the club. There is a lady who sits in front of me that cycles to the game regularly who must store it securely somewhere. It might be that the stewards can store it inside the stand during the game.

There's secure "Street Furniture" on the Invincibles side, near the Guild Lounge patrons entrance.
But no dedicated 'Bike Lockers'.
"Somewhere Indoors" might be possible over at Sainsbury's - by the main entrance - close nearby to where the trolleys are stored . There's always " Security" staff nearby and I don't think they would mind - you can always buy a single item at the kiosk.
I'd recommend still using a good lock & chain. So it's dry, genuinely-secure-with YOUR-chain & padlock & 5~10minutes from the ground - and free.

You are very welcome to leave your bike at my house. I am out at the moment but I will pm you on my return home.
 
We sometimes go to away games in our campervan and can’t park usually near grounds because of height barriers so end up parking a fair way from the ground. We’d bike in but not many clubs have secure bike storage which I think they should have.

They are at many Railway stations . Whether they are at Preston's or Preston Bus Station - Idk. The trouble is those 2 locations are both a fair distance from Deepdale.
