Daniel Iversen's form

Daniel Iversen's form

Watching cooper pluck crosses out the air all night, then watching Iverson stand on his line watching them drift past is somewhat frustrating.
It's basic stuff too, not even having to fight for them, like the first goal,.he just fucking stood there.
I noticed that the defence are getting pissed off too. Which is in itself damning as they're fucking shit.

I actually don’t think the first goal was his fault - just need to defend the cross better (shock).

However he obviously did look very shaky tonight off his line. Got it wrong for the second and he just never seemed to recover.
I need to see it back but he’d almost banked on our defender, whoever it was, winning the header. There was no power on the cross at all and he seemed to dive after it had gone past him. He should be prepared for the ball coming straight through to him, just as their keeper was in a similar situation near the end of the game.

I wouldn't go that far, his confidence is obviously shot to pieces. Needs a massive arm round his shoulder or the bollocking of his life. Not sure of his nature which one would suit him better, but he's far from finished at this level.
He looks completely shot. Looks totally immobile, unable to command his box, horrific distribution and hasn't kept a clean sheet for months. Struggling to think of many worse.

Tepi vibes tonight.

Looked an absolute bag of nerves, but hardly a surprise given he and the defence have been culpable for conceding over 2 goals a game on average so far this season.

Not sure dropping him is the answer but clearly something has gone wrong for Dan, which is a massive shame.

This all day long but some would rather take joy in Dan's demise in form instead of looking at what's ahead of him.

Needs dropping I'm afraid, he's in dreadful form.
Seems we are afraid. How bad must Nicholls be if he can't displace this clown. I dislike this entire team with a passion, every single one of them have not been upto scratch. Shows how fragile we are when we get the loans completely wrong. Last season they kept us up.

He did get it wrong, but the fact that no fucker even tried to close the man down to help him out the entire time he was stuck in no man's land? Indefensible from the rest of the team. Was there forever and nobody else got within 10 feet!
It was Hughes on the line i believe but why didn’t one of the two in front of him, Storey and Thompson I think, retreat to the other corner of the goal where the shot ultimately went in?

A few things about Iversen stick in my mind. I've always been told he's not that bothered about football, it's just a well paid job to him.

He also use to be a bit of a character, always up for a laugh. And it was poor on the in house media, but pre Argentina game in the world cup they asked players who they wanted/thought to win. And a few said Argentina, but how Iversen did it really wound me up. Tried to be funny, but it just wasn't. I can imagine it might have annoyed others in our squad.

Watching it live, he was obviously at fault for coming for it but the defender (Storey I think) could have just taken charge (yes I know he rarely does that) and put his foot through it. Once he’d come though I think he held their bloke up ok and gave chance for others to retreat and help him out but like you say look at Thompson and Storey to a lesser extent - Thompson just stands virtually still outside the 6 years box.

For the first goal my initial thought was foul on Vukcevic but it obviously wasn’t. That’s just horrifically soft defending and they’re both to blame but I suspect most goalkeepers are going to be caught out like that - if he’d dived for the cross and either Vukcevic or their bloke had flicked it (as would happens the majority of the time) he’s already committed.

At this stage, all you can do is change goalkeeper or change the coach. I have no idea how good Pollitt is but that’s one of the only two variables available to us until January.
