Davidson's injury

Davidson's injury

I wasn't talking about Davidson specifically. I was speaking generally. Nolan and Wallace instantly spring to mind.
Sorry Randall I didn't mean you specifically, but White Horse seems to have a bee in his bonnet about the club captain for some reason, but I can't think why because he's been concussed since that match and probably not been interviewed ?

Stop talking sense. Callum is clearly not with us but, shockingly, AGAINST US. 🙄

I didn't realise Preston North End had become the Nazi party. That's one of their early slogans isn't it?

Not sure what you lot are on with this petulance angle but I was at the Peterborough away match and Callum was in my opinion our best defender before he had to leave the field with concussion and prior to that left the field for stitches in the first half.

If that is not commitment to the cause then I don't know what is!!!
These stories about petulance are very tiresome and if true only apply to a few "bad apples" (to coin a popular Simpson phrase) and Callum will not be one of them. He is a true professional whether "injury prone" or not!!

Get over it and move on!!

Tony, JB (someone we both know, respect and know to be ITK) often stated that Callum was almost a hypochondriac when it came to last minute aches and niggles that prevented him from playing, so his continued absence isn't exactly out of character.

Either way we desperately need an adequate understudy at left back to cover for Callums away days and it sure as hell ain't Nolan.

or indeed it could sound like a more recent fascist leader?

"you are either with us or with the Terrorists" - George W Bush

Back on topic, I feel the club captain should have made a statement by now about the new gaffer, injured or not.

PS I too think Callum has always been fully committed to the cause but on this occasion his silence is odd.

Yep cheers Mr. Irvine for buying Nolan as our 5/6 choice CB when we only had 1 LB in the squad

Callum has been a sicknote over the years which is a pity because he's a cracking player. On this occasion however he sustained a serious knock because he's not scared of putting his body on the line once he goes on that pitch to play for PNE. In the long term theres questions over Callum but on this occasion leave it out please.

What we need right now is leaders on the pitch. And like it or lump it Callum is one of the best we currently have at the club.

In years gone by we'd have leaders everywhere on the pitch - barking instructions and motivating team mates.

We need leaders. We need Callum.

We can't rely on Davidson though, he's incapable of a consistent run of games. For me Eddie Nolan, even out of his favoured position, is a better bet at left back though we've still never really replaced Matt Hill.

DF is quoted in the LEP as saying that Callum is still suffering from concussion but should be ok for the Blackpool match. Let's hope Nolan has a decent game tonight for a change. Sheff U know all about his weaknesses!

Yet still the masses think all is well? 🙄

Will you please fuck off? The players Irvine signed don't give a flying fuck about our club in general. That is why we are in a mess and that is why Ferguson is trying to clear out the deadwood and replace it with young, hungry players who want to win. In doing so we will go through a rough period with some horrendous results like we have seen recently. It will get worse before it gets better but in the long run we will be better off.
