Fair enough with regards to our allocation but why give them the Kop?
I except that we'll probably get around 15,000 home supporters leaving 6,000 in the Kop but in the greater scheme of things financially, why give them an advantage of having 6,000 vociferous away supporters over say 2,500.
The lost revenue is insignificant over lessening the advantage given to the Dingles.

On a lesser scale - it's just the same for Shitpool games.

What it is - is some Club's Away stands lend themselves better for dividing-up than others.

In relation to "Away"ends being shared.. Physically partitioning some area(s) off from a different area, with some having a larger 'demilitarised zone' between them - and also there's the physical problem of dividing it up internally - both during and after each game.

And some Clubs simply want that "Away" revenue more than others.

And some Clubs have such intense rivalry between them that that becomes more important than the level of revenue brought in.

Best away game ever on the kop at Bombsite rd, Tony Ellis Hatrick. Bliss😍

Being a lad from Clitheroe who went to St Augustines High School Billington, back in 2000 this was the biggest game in the calendar. They had Stan Ternent and we had Moyes/Billy in those times. The rivalry at school was classic, 20 Dingles vs me! When we signed Kurt Nogan I was so interested to see what he would be like. Turned out he was class, his goal away at Turf when we won one nil still one of the greatest goals I've ever seen live. David Eyres & Parky also v special players. I'm certain Burnley fans will also say the same for Alexander & Brownhill. Burnley aways tough, their fans are a loyal bunch, but when you get it right it's one of the best away trips in the country.

I've been loads of times but never considered it to be the best away trip in the country. I loved it when we signed Nogan, Eyres, and Parky though, all good players for PNE.

Swap St Augustines High School for Ribblesdale High School and this is me!

For a second or two I thought I was in the same van, but the coppers didn't even allow us to get out, 'game's off, no point stopping here' was their considered opinion.

Yep, March 81 I think, went on the train that night , arrived to be met by plod on a horse who quoted ' to go back lads, time for a drink in Preston yet'
It was a bit wet that night though!
