Dingles away on BBC!

Preston North End's trip to Turf Moor on Saturday 11th September will now be broadcast live on the BBC. The game has been given a kick-off time of 5-15pm.

This will be North End's fifth npower Championship game of the season and heads a difficult week for the Lilywhites which see's the visit of Nottingham Forest to Deepdale just three days later.

Preston will be hoping for a repeat of their last game against the Clarets which saw North End run out 2-1 winners in January 2009.

Good News plenty of time for beers before heading of!

Why is it Burnley v PNE at Turf Moor can be moved to 5:15pm but the police will doubtless insist PNE v Burnley at Deepdale kicks off at 1 o'clock 😕

TV > Police

TV comapnies eg. Sky/BBC must get more of a say than the police.
All about money.

they have to find there way back to burnley and by the time they get home it will be past there bed time 😀😀😀

Happy with this...

I have to attend a wedding that day which starts at 3.30pm so i was going to have to miss the game. Now i can watch it at the reception and get bladdered 🙂

If a PNE coach/bus carrying PNE supporters from Lancaster/Cumbria wishes to go straight to Turf Moor ( or, say, straight there from Leyland)- is there a LEGAL obligation
to inform the Burnley Police?

It's just that we were kept on that Bridge over the M65 for about half-an-hour untill every Coach / Bus arrived .............got there at summat -to-three - (so not much chance to grab a Pie/Pint )...........then after the game we all have to go on a Bloody
Plod-Guided-Tour of the Calder Valley - ( anyone else remember seeing the "Welcome to Burnley " signs about 30 later..........)

So - my solution is.....what if we go to Burnley via Clitheroe - missing the M65 ?

Would the Coach /Driver ACTUALLY be in TROUBLE ? ?

iI'M BLOODY SICK OF BEING TREATED LIKE CATTLE BY THE BURNLEY COPS.

(Last year they did the same to the Blackburn fans, too)

They have to be given time to get back to do the milking and shag their mums

Probably as we tried this once in the itv digital era and everyone was pissed out of their brain and there was a lot of trouble all through town, especially down sir tom finney way! I'm surprised the police have allowed this tbh

I presume it's a very small mini-bus? :gentry:
