Discipline

Discipline

Thompson could actually be charged with assault due to negligence. It sums up the arrogance of a lot of footballers not just north end players. I’m sure if I kicked a bottle that cracked his missus in the face he’d have something to say

Unbelievably one of our coaches was giving the crowd some back after the lady was hit!

I’m sure north end have got her details and bought her some flowers….. if Thompson had anything about him he’d do it off his own back.

Think this kind of thing is seen as a bit above and beyond for PNE.

In relation to the incident, I did think it was stupid given the closeness of the crowd. He doesn't seem smart though.

What is happening to OUR club, with so called professional's arrogantly confronting members of the public and endangering them.
Knobhead.
Apologies to the Norwich supporter and hope he/she is all well.
Any other place of employment, disciplinary action all day long, any suporter, incoming ban expected.
Lets see .
He’s getting a three match ban, I can’t see any other outcome.

I’ve mentioned this programme before but Ref Watch on Sky is an excellent watch, it goes beyond the over reaction of the pundits and analyses incidents in detail. They thought it would have been a red card as well if it had been seen by an official.

It has been reported that he apologised to the people the bottle hit but it looked like only a wave of the hand to acknowledge the bottle had hit someone and nothing more. He should have gone over and made a real apology to them.

Thompson’s action is being reported on in the local media in the Norwich area plus as has been stated, also on the national media. Not very good for our club.

He did actually go over, though I’ve no idea what was said.

Shameful footage.

What a total bellend. To be fair, the Norwich supporters were quite cool about it....lm not sure l would have been the same, especially if the coaching staff inflamed the situation.

Surely the hierarchy can't be happy with this and a long line of embarrassing and unprofessional ill discipline.

Really pisses me off stuff like this and makes us look bad.

Hope the club have the ladies details and send her some flowers and an apology card.

It was a mistake, and it looks like he apologized, albeit very half-heartedly.

But then why a few seconds later is he arguing with the fans there?! He deserved whatever punishment comes his way.

Just another example of dropped standards over the last few years. Not helped by a manager that can't control his own emotions without punching or kicking something.

The more ill-discipline costs us (as this will with McCann out), the more attention gets drawn to it, and hopefully the more likely something is done about it. Because its not an isolated incident

I've heard quite a few people speak well of Norwich fans tbf. Maybe that's their equivalent of the front rows of the Finney, but it could have definitely kicked off had it happened elsewhere.

Obviously he hasn't intended for it to go in the crowd, and we have probably all done something we regret when the red mist takes over (much like the Osmajic headbutt).

But it's another example of shocking discipline throughout the club. And I agree it's totally embarrassing. We appear to be devoid of any class these days. The last time I felt some genuine pride about the club showing some class was the Liverpool friendly in the summer.

As a professional you simply HAVE to conduct yourself better. I can forgive isolated incidents, but it's far more than that now and the dugout set an awful example so can't expect much better from the players.
