I will bet you a thousand pounds (seriously) that my valuation of less than a million is closer than Fergusons tongue in cheek comment, only a moron would use that as a yardstick.

The Sean O'Driscoll bet was on sound and reliable information, some of us didn't know at the time that regardless of who was wanted in the boardroom (O'Driscoll) that Trev had taken control and already had his own man lined up. Derek wanted O'Driscoll, unfortunately, his opinion counted for zip and his days were numbered. It was worth a punt at 16-1 knowing he was the chairmans choice, but what would you know about betting? 🙄

Thought not.

WBA offered a good price because they knew it would be a massive gamble. Ferguson obviously thinks he can get Lonergan to fulfil his potential as Di Matteo does, so turned it down, I think he'll live to regret it.

Looks like I'm right again, he's going nowhere, certainly not for mega money and not to an established premiership club.

So now WBA who are in the premier league have placed a bid for Lonergan - do you admit that you were wrong in that no premier league club would ever bid for Lonergan?

How much would you bet that doesn't get sold for £1.5m or more?

I don't think he's worth it, but I wouldn't be massively surprised to see him go for £1.5m+. Some people seem to really rate him.

We had our chance at £750,000, obviously if they are going to have to spend more than that they might as well have somebody worth the money, that's why they've turned their attention to Grant, but they face stiff opposition from Burnley, who amazingly have bid £1,500,000 for Grant and not a bean for Lonergan! 😱

I have said he will never play in the premier league, and as far as I am aware he hasn't.

I have also said he won't be sold for mega money, and so far he hasn't.

I have quite correctly stated that no Premier club has ever made a bid for Lonergan, they now allegedly have so I can't say that anymore, even though their valuation was more in line with mine than the ridiculous valuation of you simple hero worshippers.

If he plays in the prem, or gets sold for big money. you will see me holding my hands up, probably with a glass of champagne in both.

Until then I will continue to be proved right about Lonergan. You will continue to prove what a moron you are by trying to make out I am wrong, even though he's still here and no fucker has offered more than a derisory £750,000, and that to warm the bench at a club that are odds on to be back in our division next season.

YES a temporary premierclub have put in a bid for Lonergan to warm the bench at WBA, but we never accepted, so he's still here, so my prediction that he'll never play in the premiership still holds true.

I say and have always said we will never get big money for him, certainly not in excess of £1,000,000.
