As we are about to have a new manager or management team in place what is everyone's expectations for the remainder of this season?

If you look at the table and ask, "who's better than us" and look at there current position i'd like to think we could get 4th. I think the top 3 are too far ahead and we cannot win and they lose to close the gap.

I realise that in's and out's may give a different picture in a few weeks but everyone around us is nothing special and even if we had won 2 of the 8 we lost we'd still be in the top 6 so what does that say.

If we can string 4 or 5 wins from the next 8 games we could be in a great position. 🙂

Reasons to be cheerfull :question::question:

How many of the other teams will be losing their 3 best players in January? Hume, Coutts and Mellor will be off to the highest bidder. When these three go a top half finish will be impossible in my opinion.

If thi was true, why sack Brown? This will cost us money. I think Hemmings realises promotion to the Championship is a must to get on a better financial footing. Mellor might go as he is at the end of his contract but the other 2 will stay IMHO.

I agree. Why pay off Brown if you are going to sell the three best players? He may well have resigned saving a devent wedge of cash.

If he picks Unsworth and Alexander, then "paying off" brown will cost virtually nothing (unless you really think Hemmings could have made brown resign by selling his best players.... personally, I think brown would not have resigned, but hung on for his payout)

I imagine that we'll keep on paying brown is monthly salary until next December (unless otherwise agreed)... and keep on paying Grezza and Unsworth their monthly salaries (boosted a bit) and that will be that.

I'm sure that one of the three (probably Mellor) will go. And, to be really honest, how many of the last 20 games is he going to play if he stays? It wouldn't be the end of the world.

Coutts and Hume on the other hand..

I agree. Promotion is the priority although Mellor may be sold as we would get nothing in the summer for him. The other 2 will stay until the summer if there is still a chance of promotion at the end of January.

At least DF's rolling contract payments should end this month!
