Fans Forum

I'm not a member (of PSC or Facebook), so I haven't seen these rules.

Can they be posted up on here for the rest of us, so we can understand what the PSC is for?

Zzzzzzz not that you are actually interested or wanting to sign up or to speak to me or any of us. However....

To register on the facebook.page as a member we simply ask members to agree no hate speech, no bullying and not to undermine 'the collective ethos' that being,
We are simply trying to improve the matchday experience making it more than 90 minutes.
Lots of great initiatives things are happening but I will await your daily insults.
Have a great day U T W

Of course I'm interested, or I wouldn't have asked the question.

What does "collective ethos" mean?

You haven't mentioned a rule about not being a "protest group".

Can you please just copy/paste the actual "rules" up here, instead of editorialising them?

You dont do facebook you dont do twitter you dont want to speak to me or anyone else. You really need to get off this anti real life keyboarding and make contact.

Bound to be no issues when your members have no agency whatsoever!

Didn't realise your membership rules were soooper-secret though. Maybe you're just embarrassed by them.

And I don't want to alarm a non-IT guy such as yourself, but this forum is as "real life" as your fucking Facebook group.

Except of course, people on this forum can talk back to you, and you don't seem to like that.

Cheers - still don't see where they define themselves as "not a protest group".

"No undermining the Collective" is suitably Orwellian though.

A significant update had just gone out on fbook i will try and share it. Stick with me I will try and upload it.

I like the ethos - make matchdays better. Whats not to like about that. However, that starts on the field. There is no good having a tent etc if the fans and club are miles apart. It will soon become a focal point for protests. PSC will become a success as soon as Ridsdale and Frankie have gone and the players are at least trying. We need to somehow unite the club and fans asap. As pointed out that will not be done by PSC. So lets give PSC a break, there is nothing stopping anyone else setting up a fans group with aims of its own. Facebook and Twitter using #pnefc would see it grow. But makesure that if the group achieves its object it has a plan for the fans and club.

Somehow I don't think the answer to a fractured fanbase is setting up multiple competing fan groups.

And as I've said on other threads, Ridsdale will love the fact the PSC is resolutely non-confrontational and non-protest. He will gladly focus on "engaging" with the PSC because they pose no threat whatsoever to him, while he can tick the "fan engagement" check-box (as he did in his press conference yesterday, right at the beginning) and ignore anyone protesting against his running of the club.

As you say, "we need to somehow unite the club and fans asap". But the PSC clearly cannot do that as currently constituted.

I've no problem with PSC concentrating on the non-footballing side of things. But, if or when the shit hits the fan they need to ensure they aren't an ally for Ridsdale.

If protests are organised, PSC need to stay out of it completely. If they choose to publicly support Ridsdale or decry any demonstrations, then they do become part of the problem.

We can expect Ridsdale to offer this kind of response from 2010 if protests do happen...

"Anyone thinking of joining this march should look themselves in the mirror and ask if they really care about Cardiff City Football Club and its future. If the answer is yes, then come straight to the ground, enjoy the match and support the Club. If the answer is no, then join the march."

He'll argue that anyone trying to oust him is directly harming the club. And he will seek the likes of PSC to permeate that message.

If PSC say they are a not a protest group, then they need to not find themselves acting as an anti-protest group.

Every member of the group has an opinion, all we are saying is PSC will not become the protest group. It was never about that for us.
Doubtless many of our members have divided opinions which is obvious. Our aims and objectives are clear.
We will not be your protest group.
Please see todays PSC statement it basically tells you where we are at.
More details will follow soon.

That's great. But are you an anti-protest group? I don't see that in any of the statements I've read.

Hey we are pro Preston North End is that not enough?
There is no protest group in my eyes just on liners hiding behind forums etc.
If a protest becomes real on the ground I am sure we will all have our say.
But as individuals i guess not PSC.

Well many folk online do like to let's say keep themselves underground. But, I assumed considering how you were formed, PSC would be supportive of such anonymity. Rather than say they are "hiding behind forums".

I'll take the "guess not PSC" to mean the collective definitely would not decry supporters demonstrating against the hierarchy.

Going nowhere this nonsense.
Message me, meet me, talk in real life.
Thats all I ask.
Read the update, get involved, support the club, form a protest group, whine and moan whatever floats your boat.
Have a great day I will restrict my visits to updates for your information.

All I am asking is for the collective - who don't wish to protest on behalf of fans - to clarify that they will definitely not become embroiled in rallying against any future protests happening.

It's not a loaded question. So far I've had a 'maybe not'. Which doesn't really cut it to be quite honest. I don't understand why you are being so defensive.
