Hi!

I was thinking to make my first homegame is the upcoming season, but would like some tips for pubs and maybe a hotel in Preston.

Im gonna make the trip from Denmark, so im gonna land in Manchester airport and take the train to Preston.

Thanks for the help.

Bingohans!

Depends what you budget for the room bill. Premier Inn - like the one on Corporation Street - can be cheap if you book on line in advance, but rather expensive if you just show up at Reception.
The Railway Hotel (pub with about 6 bedrooms) just opposite the Butler Street entrance to Preston Station might be your simplest bet, or there's a B&B on Fishergate Hill that's very reasonable, but I forget its name.

The budget is ok, the trip dont cost alot and the train ,from the airport to Preston is pretty cheap too(£12).

Railway Hotel sounds like a good idea, i will look into that!

Which airport will you fly from Bingohans?

And more importantly... what is your connection with PNE?

From Copenhagen airport to Manchester.

Like almost all other scandinavis, we follow English football. I saw Preston play when Moyes was manager year ago, i liked the logo and since then it was my team.

If you mean if i know any ppl in Preston, no.

Well, I hope you have an enjoyable trip.

There's an Italian supporter who came across for a match... I think it was "Conor".

He didn't know anyone but I'm fairly sure he posted on this message board, and ended up meeting up with a few people off here. If you're interested, you could perhaps PM him to find out how it all came about. (indeed, check if it was him).

I'm sure it would be good for you to have someone show you a couple of pubs.

Isn't there a Norwegian branch? Might be better heading over with them next time they are over?

As for pubs, just head for the sumners pub, I'm sure you will find someone to chat with!

There is also a Belgium group of PNE supporters who come over.

Whitburn House Hotel on Garstang Road is only a short walk across Moor Park. £40 a night includes a full english
