Flags for Deepdale 2022/2023 - PNE Online supporting North End Soul

Just a little update.

Sourcing 2m poles for over 950 flags has proven to be a significant financial and logistical challenge.

I've been in discussions for a couple of weeks with a 3rd party and met face to face today.

Talks went well so we have now confirmed the order for nearly 1000 flags to hopefully be available for fans to wave alongside our bespoke flags, which will make their debut for the Hull game.

More details to follow next week.

At this point it's time to give another thank you to everyone who has helped us to get this moving, fans, local sponsors, and the football club.

Also with a donation being made to Tommy Spurr and family I am personally very thankful to you all.

In it together.

We have been overwhelmed by the support shown by PNE Supporters, Local companies, PNEFC and everyone who has helped fundraise for our Sir Tom Finney Flag, Preston Sky Line Flag and over 1000 new for Deepdale, including 16 giant bespoke wavers.

During the Pandemic, we also raised money and created a Gentry PVC banner to help the club during difficult times and allow us to remember those PNE Fans no longer with us.

Sadly this banner is no longer available for us, and following consultation with supporters, we would love to create a new flag/banner which we can use as part of our new displays and even take to Gentry Days in the future.

We would again like the names of supporters who are no longer with us to be on the banner so they can be at Deepdale in spirit for years to come.

Therefore we would like to ask for a £5 donation to help fund the banner and have your loved one or anyone you would like to be included on the banner.

We intend for this to be a long narrow banner (like the Pride of Lancashire Banner), but as per our other fundraisers, we will make this as big as we possibly can for the most significant impact.

The flag would be handed over to the new supporters group North End Souls and their volunteers to show at Deepdale and away games whenever possible.

Once you have made your donation, if you can leave a note with the name of the person you would like to be on the flag, we will ensure its added - or you can email us admin@pne-online.net or contact us on Twitter @pneonline or at DM @JK at www.pne-online.net

Thank you for your continued support.

We are not just fans. We are the Gentry!

What happened to the old one?

We have asked the club on several occasions as we suggested it be used in the fanzone

Sadly it appears following a change of staff it's not been located, hence we would love to create a new lasting tribute.

Applaud this and sure it will look fantastic but how on earth does the original one go missing? Very frustrating especially as we never got to see it in person.
