WBA fan in peace, Will be thinking of a special PNE fan on Saturday, my late boss David Tucker born and bred in Preston who moved to the Midlands to take over our company and who sadly passed away over the xmas period. He used to work at Dorman Smith and was a season ticket holder.
GENTRY DAY 2019 - Dedications, Tributes and Memories (West Brom 13/04/19)
Nice thought and no need to say 'in peace' on this thread. Saturday is all about respect and remembrance, and that includes to our hosts on the day. Hopefully your fans will realise what this day means to our club and reciprocate those sentiments.WBA fan in peace, Will be thinking of a special PNE fan on Saturday, my late boss David Tucker born and bred in Preston who moved to the Midlands to take over our company and who sadly passed away over the xmas period. My Dad. Wasn’t perfect, none of us are. But he was my Dad and so I looked up to him so much. Well known to loads of North Enders, including Gerona and family Chepstow. He was basically the reason why I loved the old Kop, potholed West Stand car park and those grim smelly loos. Thanks Dad - Bring us luck Dad. RIP. x
Also remembering Harry Joseph Jones (Popeye) played for PNE 1928-33 (1 game)then West Brom 1933-43. Born in Haydock his family is in Preston and i've researched his career in past 6 months. I will be with another of his great grandsons in the Smethick my son in law and a finer man you cannot meet.

Was it your Uncle who used to stand with us on the Kop in the late 70’s? Not your Dad obviously, but the smartly dressed Gent? Is he still around? Also remembering Harry Joseph Jones (Popeye) played for PNE 1928-33 (1 game)then West Brom 1933-43. Kenneth Eastwood who sadly died back in 1991of cancer my father of 44. He was famous for being on the front of the program for a whole season where they took a photo of the pitch, the pavilion stand was in he back ground during the a game. You couldn't miss him with his bald shaved head with a tash.
He took me on my fisrt PNE match. I miss him. #wewill remember.

I’m going for my Dad . Passed away 7.5.2006 a day before the playoff 2nd leg against Leeds . We had tickets to go so I took my daughter instead . Many of you remember this game for the tactics by Billy the broken leg the power cut . I can remember nothing was all a blur . RIP Pops . Been to many gentry days and hope this is as good as the others . See you all there .
Never really thought about this until I read this thread, My thoughts are to the my neighbours in Ribbleton in the late 1960's when I was a mere boy, Mr & Mrs Harold Taylor, both season ticket holders and avid PNE supporters. When Mrs Taylor fancied a day off from football Mr Taylor would be knocking on our door, off we'd go in his blue Triumph Herald down to Deepdale and to their seats in the west stand. My thoughts are with you this day for your kindness and for being exceptional neighbours. God bless you both!
