Good news!!

Good news!!

I have had 51 years of it, but it is my masochism. When it's good it's really good, but mainly not so good. At least the scars don't show, not like a lot on here.

Yes but the masochism is bearable if you have well meaning people running the club, who have its interests at their heart even if they are relatively average at their jobs. People like Craig Brown who took a shed load of flak after the fact. What I would give for someone of his honesty, decency and knowledge now instead of the present set of imposters. I look at the people running the club now, listen to their spin, look at the poverty of resources at their disposal and ask myself what their real interest is in the club. There is no serious money and the ever distant prospect of promotion will not improve their lot. So what is their interest other than pure self interest or a sell off. And if correct and as an aside, why exactly is the manager driving around in a Bentley

At the moment it looks like he has been in the job a short amount of time when it is a job that is going to take a while to sort out. I didn't expect it to be good within 10 games when he was appointed so I personally can't decide he has already failed.

You're just the sort of guy that leaves things to fester too long, and only makes their mind up when it's too late and irreversible damage has been done.

You'll then come out with such lines las "with the benefit of hindsight".

Try for once opening your eyes and having the benefit of foresight Pardy!

What irreversible damage? They were shit before and they are shit now. You can't blame Westley for that.

They were shit before but with the return of the injured players were more than likely ready to improve once more and start looking up as opposed to down the league table.

They're shitter now with some of the injured players not wanting to get fit enough, thus staying out of the picture, and not become a part of the laughing stock.

And are they looking like making any improvement or are we looking even shitter by the game?

Even if we were to get shut of Mr Clueless now, I fear too much damage has already been done by him, but that shouldn't stop us from putting a halt to the havoc he continues to cause on a daily basis!

Use paragraphs please.

The mentality on here is amazing. Everybody and his dog wanted Ferguson out. Then everybody wanted Brown out. Now everybody wants Westley out. Maybe...just maybe the common denominator here isn't the manager. Maybe the club has been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years and maybe like an oil tanker it isn't going to be able to change direction very quickly. Switching the manager all the time is not working. It never works. Show me a club which is successful and I can guarantee that club will have had a manager who has been given time.

I don't know if Westley is the man. I don't know whether he's a one hit wonder or not. I don't pretend to be able to predict the future. But I know one thing for sure and thats that you can't judge anything from 10 games.

poacher

poacher

I'm worried. If Westley goes back to Stevenage, he might poach our best players away from us.
What will we do without Andy Proctor and Holroyd?

You have a point there Poggi, we'll be forced to play Coutts as captain and Barry nick. Who's going to create chances if Cummins goes??

As for teams that change managers, Real Madrid, AcMilan, Chelsea, Inter and the German National Team. Changing management isnt a big deal its just a new set of instructions. Its when manager's come in abd nake sweeping changes to various aspects of the club. This is usually done close season not near the end when you need stability. Stop grasping at straws hes out if his depth and so is the chairman and his boss. We are on shit creek without a paddle and the flow is taking us up it

You know fuck all about the sort of guy I am so your comment is both incorrect and irrelevant

I think you'll find that (with the possible exception of Inter Milan), if you asked the fans of those clubs they'll tell you they've underacheived over the last 5 years.

Real Madrid - currently ten points clear of Barcelona
AC Milan - current Italian champions
Chelsea I'll give you
Germany - not even a club

So you're talking out of your arse here.

I`ll tell you what Ive judged after 10 games, the club is in an even worse mess than even i realised, youre quite correct thoogh there really isnt a quick fix for all this. changing the manager will change very little at all, were still going to be left with players that have been brought in on a budget, and still sitting here waiting until the club can offload the higher earners.

Do I like what Im seeing, well thats a big fat no but then again i wasnt overstruck pre=Westley either.

You can have AC Milan as an example of a new manager instantly doing well but Jose is in his second season at Real before he has achieved anything. He was regularly in the frame for being sacked last season (according to the media). Obviously Real Madrid have nothing on our beloved PNE so it's no comparison really, just wanted to explain how some of your point was wrong.
