In fitting with the Andy Smith thread,

Brett Ormerod is expected to be suitable for selection, for the reserve team, next week.

Re: Good News......

Im looking forward to getting Brett back, the more quality competition up front the more goals im sure all the forwards will be banging in 😀

Re: Good News......

Regarding Brett, it's also a very good thing that we don't have the need to rush him back as soon as possible. We are playing very well at the moment and we've got quite a lot of attacking options already: Nugent, the in-form Paddy, Dichio, Whaley and soon Mellor as well.

But Ormerod will be a very welcome addition to our team when he's finally back. 🙂

Re: Good News......

finally we don't have to rely on DD, thats what I'm looking forward to. Don't get me wrong, in certain games he should and will be picked for them. Unfortuantly, we have no choice at the moment but pick him.

DD seems the only player up front who can support the other striker. Once brett and mellor are fit. I expect our line ups to change depending on the situation.

Perhaps like last season..DD, away from home? with Ormerod, mellor, agy and Nugent for home and away?

Not what Simmo said last night but then it could be he's playing his cards close to his chest and will spring a surprise or two in the next couple of weeks.

This is from the official

"We have got Diche (Danny Dichio) giving us 90 minutes, Patrick Agyemang has given us a bit of a headache, Neil Mellor's getting closer to fitness, Brett Ormerod's maybe only a week away from playing a reserve game so we are going to have some good options in those striking areas which will give me a problem, but it's a nice problem to have."
