It feels very on brand for Lancashire that we'd choose a date in November, when it's likely to be cold and wet for our county celebration. Could've been August, but that wouldn't feel Lancashirey enough.

Lancashire Day is the county day of historic Lancashire in England. It is held on 27 November to commemorate the day in 1295 when Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament, to attend the Model Parliament of King Edward I.👍

Happy Lancashire Day everyone , I celebrated it in Manchester with a slap up Chinese meal and a few pints of Boddies / Guinness 👍🏻👍🏻
Ditto, in Abingdon Nr Oxford in our favourite Indian Restaurant - The Dil Raj.
Happy Lancashire Day, Fettlers everywhere!

Just worked out we spend a Whole Month of the Year down here visiting 'Aunty' for half a dozen long weekends!

Never ties in with Oxford away though (although it once did with Reading).

Happy Lancashire Day, indeed. If only this had fallen on Friday just gone. It would have been a real celebration of football heritage in Lancashire.

Never mind, it's nice we can all celebrate on this thread instead. There is also another thread on this forum discussing all that is good in Lancashire. Feel free to join us in the discussion over there, folks:
