It’s football says Baresi(RIP🙏) not basketball 🤣

It's a bugger when the only centre back who is dominant in the air is Lindsay!
and that is debatable.

It's a bugger when your manager thinks that the only defender we needed was a right back?
Storey -Lindsay and Hughes are stats wise dominant in the air.How did that go against Bolton?

Best we keep them then, seems most of this forum are wrong to want to move them on.

We could start a new trend, play them three at the back for the headers and Gibson and Offiah just in front of them for the smaller quicker strikers.

Or we could get a couple of decent CB's who have good all round stats.

Depends on your source on this one. Fotmob has Offiah down as 181cm (5'11). Gibson at 185cm (nearly 6'1).

Both are poor in the air for CBs.

If I was to bet, I'd say those heights are pretty accurate, Gibson doesn't look particularly strong, and Offiah just isn't very tall, and that would explain their poor aerial win rates.
I'd say 5'11 is a bit on the short side for his actual height. Does look to be around 6'1-6'2, but doesn't change that he is poor in the air regardless.

Fotmob has Connor Taylor at Wycombe as about 6'0, but he's closer to 6'5-6'6 😂

Sofascore have their aerial stats as follows

Aerial duels won/Total aerial duels
Lindsay: 6/10
Storey: 4/5
Hughes: 5/6

The bigger problems were their ability (or lack thereof) on the ball, struggling to track McAtee and Dalby's ability to back in and hold the ball up rather than them being done in the air repeatedly

We have to be realistic-we’re Preston -we don’t have those kinds of funds. We have to be resourceful with tactics and coaching-Mourinho managed to win the Champions league beating the might of Europe’s riches with little Porto🤔

Problem with Storey and Lindsay is that they aren’t good at football and have the turning speed of an Eddie Stobart. All you have to do against those two is play through balls or one-twos and the attacking player is in every time.

Aerially they are ok at best but both would be suited to lower league football and nowhere near a championship side.

Offiah isn’t the best in the air as mentioned on other posts however he is streets ahead of Lindsay and Storey footballing wise and also has pace to get back into position.
