Heckingbottom - Honeymoon Over?

Heckingbottom - Honeymoon Over?

I didnt say wait. I said we need an alternative plan. I'm happy to discuss any credible plan forward. If I win the Euromillions tonight I might even have enough money to do something 🙂
With respect, any "alternative" plan that doesn't involve criticising the owners' dimwitted decision-making and bullshit-filled public statements, just in case it upsets them and dissuades them from funding the club they don't want to fund anyway, isn't worth bothering with.

I agree. So let's form a plan which includes that, but is not only that.

My patience is wearing thin. Saturday's line up, especially after Portsmouth, was abysmal. What was worse, was not changing it, try Okkels and/or Bowler, maybe even Best. They might be shit, but FFS, try something different. No different to Lowe, although he doesn't talk quite as much nonsense.
I haven't got enough time to cover the other issue, other than to say, 'Times up Peter'.

We can talk about Hecky & stuff all day but Peter is the one we always come back to need him gone soon as.

We will be lucky to stay up this season and this has been coming for a while now. Not properly replacing players that have left the club. No clear strategy on how the move the club forward. Deafening silence from those at the top of the club. Nobody wants to take responsibility to sort this mess out.
We are all grateful to the Hemming family for keeping PNE afloat but please Craig, get shut of the geriatric Risdale and get someone competent in. If you cannot or will not do what is needed to push for the Premier League consider your position.

Please only speak for yourself. I’m not in the least bit grateful to the Hemmings and won’t be until they stop squandering their money by giving it to the fat cunt!!!

maybe its the other way round.... not that the manager isnt as good as we thought but the club / players arent as good as 'he thought'"!

he clearly doesnt trust the players who we have to put on the bench for numbers but who never play..... so who signed or re-signed them ?? maybe we can raise funds in january by 'selling' that person ????

he gets my 100% support until at least this time next year......

Perhaps if we sold that person by the pound we could get a lot of purchases from Leeds/Cardiff/Plymouth/Barnsley fans?

I feel for Hecky as he is a good manager at this level who is being dragged down due to the dross he has at his disposal and the people that he has to work with above him. Yeah, you, Ridsdale. I think he now realises what a mess this is, which is why he is playing ultra defensive in some games and isn't even getting angry anymore.

Hecky was a coup of an appointment for me, but he has no tools to work with to have PNE in the play off places. The right appointment at the wrong time and by the wrong people I.e people who have no ambition other than to avoid relegation. Hecky is wasted on them.

As others have stated, you can't expect him to have PNE up there around the play offs with this bunch of plodders. With a few better players and a Board that actually wants to do something, Hecky can win promotion from this Division. Sadly, it won't be happening here though.

I liked the cut of Hecky's jib when he came on but the initial enthusiasm already appears to have been eroded away. The scale of the task at hand seem to be setting in and with money to spend and no players worth anything in the market, he's probably wondering how the hell he gets us out of this.

Saturday's lineup was so 'safe' and almost a 'don't lose' mentality which we really can't afford when our best performances under him often haven't resulted in wins.

Deserves time and the chance to revamp this squad but Ridsdale should not be anywhere near it.

We can't go down this road again. Problems are there but he's about as good as we can get. Get a DoF in place who isn't a trained clown and we can judge.

Yep. Still not bothered about the manager. Let him try and get some of his own players in, give him chance to work.

Wasn't my choice, but there's no point blaming him for the mess he has been brought in to clean up.

As highlighted - probably - but there is no excuse for some of the players to appear disinterested as they did on Saturday, you can be utterly dire but still put a shift in, i wonder if our manager noted the same and accounts for this in tonight’s selection

On this I absolutely agree. They get paid very well to represent the City of Preston and have absolutely no right to disrespect that no matter how much other things trouble them. In any other line of employment it would not be tolerated and they would be sacked.

I think if we'd just loaned or bought a defender or two rather than Okkels he'd be fine. He was given the relegation battle through the window activity.

I keep reading that KKH shouldn't be playing on the left and blaming the manager for putting him there. The blame is at those that have put this squad together.

Most people agree the defenders are too slow and cannot play in a flat back four, so we play wing backs. Failure to get a LWB over the summer means Brady or Best out there, or KKH.

Brady is injured, sorry but Best is not good enough (not having a decent U21 or reserve set up does not help our youngsters to progress); so there is no other option out there than to move KKH over to the left (I really wish there was because he is no where near as effective out there).

Potts and Storey on the left have worked together on the right for a while now and should be a solid and consistent right sided pairings, unfortunately Potts looks miles off the pace after his injury.

This is the hand that PH has been dealt with, it's shit and tbh I cannot see what other options there are for him.
PH and McCall has the season for me, but the more I look at this squad, the more concerned I get. We need a total overall but I have no idea how that would get funded.
RIDSDALE OUT!

But what is he supposed to be "turning round" here?

To repeat - Craig Hemmings said in 2022 that within 18 months Lowe would have his "ideal squad... that can compete at the top end of the Championship and ultimately deliver promotion". His words.

The Isle of Man and Ridsdale have now had those 18 months, and here we have that "ideal squad".

And now PH has to "turn it round"? We've now got to be "realistic"? Wait another "2 years as a reasonable first step" to improve our current bottom-5 position?

This isn't the time for fans to be patient. The fans have already been patient, for at least 18 months, as Craig requested, watching garbage football while the "ideal squad" was supposedly being assembled.

This is the time for fans to be impatient, and to demand of the Isle of Man and Peter fucking Ridsdale, what have they been doing for the last two years, and why does their complacent 2022 vision of a squad ready to "deliver promotion" now lie in rags and tatters.

Totally agree about your frustrations with the club ownership. Their lack of vision, their lack of a forward progressive plan and their poor communications with the supporters are dragging us all down. It is the relatively little time that some supporters expect PH to be able to do much that I find puzzling. I do believe that it is still very early days and I think we have seen enough so far to expect more entertaining and ultimately, as long as we give him a couple of years not months, more successful football under PH than under the previous management.

Aye Hecky has no option other than to play KKH at LWB. We simply don't have the players available to make a team

A centre back and a left wing back and we would look a lot better. Cheers Peter.

Have to say an honourable mention to osmajic who is also thick as pig shit when he decided to get banned for 8 games leaving Riis up front on his own for 8 games.
