Heckingbottom

The hard bit for me is who to replace him with if a) it’s same again next season financially or b) we have a few quid to spend

He had credit in the bank though.
Well this is the point. The credit in the bank didn’t matter at the time - he was still called tactically poor in his final season with us. You don’t become a bad manager overnight, like PH hasn’t since January.

2-2 away, with their two goals being assisted by a PNE player, yet the usual lot still go for the manager. Tiresome.

Are you happy with 23 Wins from 84 Games?

Fair play if you are.

Myself? He should be doing better. Should be around the 35 Win mark minimum imo to pass as doing reasonable which would still equate as 49 Games not won.

Not particularly. Too many draws, especially last season, when we just didn’t have the quality to turn decent performances into three points (off the top of my head, Sunderland (H), Sunderland (A), Burnley (H), Leeds (H), Plymouth (A) just to name a few).

This season is obviously a completely different story, with a pretty ghastly run of form from Jan, in my opinion the result of three main drivers: Iversen injury, the pitch, and losing Armstrong.

So whilst he’s not a perfect manager, and no PNEFC manager ever will be, it’s important to look a bit deeper than just say things like ‘sideways and backwards’, or moan about subs with hindsight.

We would have to lose all 6 games whilst Oxford and Leicester (23rd and 22nd) would both have to win 5 out of their 6 remaining games.

A Leicester side, that despite all their shots needed us to gift them two easy goals

They'd be lucky to get two wins never mind five

We won’t…..

QPR , WBA and Southampton are tricky games given their current form.

Charlton, Brum and Sheff Utd away won’t be easy either.

We probably need to scrape another point or two from somewhere to be safe.
I'm a gambler Ando and i wouldn't even waste a pound on North End going down....chill brother and crack open a red...job done 🍷

Personally now, I'd get rid of Hecky. I'm not saying it's his fault because clearly it's the owners and hierarchy that have constrained us for many years.

When a manager goes into a mode when he's talking absolute shite post a game you know he's lost the plot. 2 wins in 16 games and from going "We want to be in the mix come the end of the season" to "We are constrained by the budgets and any point away from home is good" is obviously an immediate get out. The downturn in form is remarkable. This is a Leicester side that have been void of passion and confidence all season and again were there for the taking.

Again, we have decided to sit back and allow the opposition to come onto us that has allowed them to come away with a point.

Hecky out, Riddler out, Levitt and Henmings out. Absolute disgrace across the board.

IF there is a takeover close no point.

Let new owners make their own choice about management team.

We’ve won 6 games since November 8th.

I'm guessing that was Southampton away? In the end Southampton just did what they had to do and sack Will Still and they are cruising towards the play offs now.

The choker for this season is I think after the Bristol City win there probably was hardly anything in the table between PNE and Millwall. Now they are 19 points ahead and on the verge of the prem. They rolled the dice in January with signings so fair play to them. This club pretty much never does so hard to spin it as hard luck story as I get the feeling Riddler will do as soon as the season ends.
