He played really well but looked like a calf pull, which will put him out for a few weeks. He just blew up - it’s a case of taking him off before he gets too fatigued and therefore more at risk of injury.
He was second MOTM for me, behind Dobbin, pipping Whiteman who gets my #3.
Heckingbottom
I will always give credit where it’s due no matter my criticism of Heckingbottom. He’s a genuine football fan and really nice to see how much he “gets” Gentry Day. That has not always been the case with our managers since 2005.

Manager has confirmed it was just cramp. He played really well but looked like a calf pull, which will put him out for a few weeks.
Fair enough. Hope it is, he’s not got the best track record of injury honesty though. Pretty sure we won’t be seeing McCann or Lang this season despite what he has said. Not that it matters now anyway.Manager has confirmed it was just cramp.

Hughes being injury prone is a myth:

Was just about to say the same thing.
Struggled with injury in his first few seasons but his injury record last few seasons is pretty much non existent.
Where did I say he was? I was criticising the wing back formation as it’s a killer and (to me) looks like it knackered Hughes today. Nowhere did I say it was because he was injury prone.

I think he mis read your post as I did to be fair.Where did I say he was? I was criticising the wing back formation as it’s a killer and (to me) looks like it knackered Hughes today. Nowhere did I say it was because he was injury prone.
It said ‘he’s not got the best track record of injury honesty.’ I missed the word honesty which was clearly about Hecky.

Yep that's exactly what's happened 😂 Apologies!
Good catch @RibbletonWhite2.0
lol. I could have worded it better.
I suppose with Gentry Day being an away day not a lot of victories come with it, I guess that Hecky can add a tick to his CV today.
Got to take all the ticks he can get at the moment I suppose.

There is no argument for him to be allowed to keep his job into next season, takeover or not. Neither his football nor his results are any better than his predecessor
I’d love to hear an actual explanation to why he’s wedded to the same setup and makes the same bizarre substitutions

League Record under Heckingbottom
Played 87
Won 24
Drawn 35
Lost 28
Win Percentage 27.6%
At the end of the day the numbers don’t lie.
It’s a shame as I actually like Heckingbottom in many ways, but nobody can honestly support that record. He’s completely lost his way.

If he is still manager next season I'm seriously thinking of calling time on supporting PNE..can't take anymore of this negative dross
