Heckingbottom

The problem with Lowe was his delusional views after the game. He spouted rubbish that contradicted what we had all watched. Where as Hecky acknowledges the issues then offers some babbling non explanation and says does that makes sense.

Blaming the manager and players at our club is like blaming a scarecrow for not stopping animals from eating seeds or damaging crops. They have their limitations and if they didn't they wouldn't be here.

The abuse was because he was a flash scouser which our fans never really warmed to.

Hecky is statistically the worst manager we’ve had in a decade now, and the football is just as poor.

I’ll ask again as you seemed to miss this question first time.. ‘when does this manager take the blame for what we are watching right now’
of course the Manager has to take some responsibility but so do the allegedly fully grown men that claim to be professional footballers and shouldn’t need their hands holding on the damned pitch. Saying that the poor running of the club is 95% responsible. It’s amazing how many decent managers come here and lose the plot inside a couple of seasons and then leave and go back to being decent managers again. We had one return to Deepdale last week, he left our club not having a scooby what his best team was and look at him now, it’s what a well run club gets you. The common denominator is the club open your eyes.

Our problem is the owners apathy nothing changes until we have new owners if they cared about the club he already would be sacked. Absolutely no point in leaving him in charge for rest of the season he has to go ...when it's over it's over and it's over ...we have to stop the rot asap
The rot will remain regardless of PH or anyone else.

When you say it’s ’amazing how many decent managers come here, lose the plot, leave, then go back to being decent’.. who are they.. I can only think of Neil and it’s only really the last year or so he’s started doing well again? Who are the others?

Can’t really be arsed continuing this with you Joan, you’re one of the absolute worst for seeing other people’s opinions on here when it’s different to your own so pointless chasing my tail.

In a bit.

Your last paragraph it’s called debating.

No worries though I’m not going to insult you back I can’t be bothered.

Oh absolutely. Not saying RL was a good manager or anything. More pointing out he actually had a better win rate overall than PH is managing which is a serious serious problem.

Considering the shit RL got I would say PH has had a very very easy and forgiving time so far at PNE.
What I find amusing is that people say that Hecky last year had no Pre Season with the team having missed the first two games and use that as an excuse as to why 44 League Games later, we finished 20th.

Yet Lowe equally had no Pre Season arriving in Dec with the team in (I think) 17th position and he ended the season, with less games to gather information, in 13th.

Funny how the narrative changes to suit. 😳 🙄

Both were / are the wrong fit for PNE.

Honestly didn't realise how bad Hecky's numbers are. Surprised me. Doesn't make good reading does it. Id still take Hecky over Lowe though, I couldn't stand that fella.

Up until Bristol I was absolutely buzzing with the team and management. Great summer recruitment, good performances and results.

Armstrong and Iverson losses are huge to this team. Our midfield now no existent and defence all over the place.

January transfer window was an absolute piss take. Moran hasn't kicked a ball and the young striker barely played. Jury out on Lang for me, hoping he'll be a cracking signing. Didn't come out of the January window stronger that's for sure.

Despite all the contributing factors to our spiral down the league I still believe Hecky should be getting far more out of this team.

Honestly don't know what the answer is but something has to change.

Feels like a curse supporting this team.

It’s simple enough, arriving in August for the second game of the season with none of your own players (apart from the only one he was allowed to bring in on the money available) and a lot of new players not used to the club or even each other and having had a pre season with a manager that very obviously didn’t want to be here is a bit different to December when the players had more time to at least gel and a previous manager that at least cared. That is the narrative no matter how you look at it.

When Hecky took over, we’d failed to score in 9 of the last 10 games. Lost our club captain, and the best player from the previous season and been fisted by a combined 5-0 in the first matches of the new season.

Then we managed to add KKH and a load of shite (Thor, Okkels, Greenwood etc)

In those circumstances, 20th is a better result than it’s credited for.

We keep Lowe and we finish 24th. Absolute charlatan, as evidenced by his atrocious follow up spell at Wigan, who he would have taken down despite spending quite a bit for League One. He’ll bounce around local L2 sides and in 20 years we’ll be scratching our heads as to how he ever got a job here at all

Exactly as I see it.

Agree with this outside of the Neil bit. The only place he didn’t do well is Stoke. Got Sunderland promoted and built the core of the squad that eventually got them promoted

I am not disputing that Lowe would have most likely have taken us down in his 3rd full season, just to be clear on this.

Both managers are average at best.
Both spout nonsensical word salad in almost every post match interview.
Both employ a tedious style of football.
Both lost and currently are losing the fanbase.
Both are Two Peas from the same 352 Pod.

I expect a polite parting of the ways come the seasons end.

Who can we bring in as an interim?

Don't disagree with you, just wondering what options we hav
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
I think the players are far better than what lowe had..
Losing armstrong and iverson massive. But something more is not right. These playersxare better than recent results suggest.
has something happened where hecklefish has essentially down tools
I agree the players are better than the result we are producing. There has to be another reason why we have dropped of so much.

And I don’t understand our owners don’t want to invest and what no one want to buy us ? That’s the bit I struggle with no one want to buy us ? When I see some other crappy clubs getting investment but never us.

PH post match reactions suggest to me he doesn’t care anymore. Which hopefully means a takeover is coming and he knows he’s done. He just doesn’t seem bothered anymore.

If no takeover then I can’t see the board sacking him. Only consideration is there end of season statement last year that the end of season was unacceptable and couldn’t happen again. Well it is.

If Millwall don’t get promoted and we do get a new owner should we tempt Neil back?

All ifs I know and putting what happened at Stoke aside but would love to see Neil here with a bit of a war chest.

We had the chance to do it before Heckingbottom joined and we didn’t even have the courtesy to answer the phone.

His stock has risen since then, he’d be stupid to come here with the backing he gets at Millwall

Well a 27% win ratio would be a start.

Why was it all Lowe’s fault under Lowe but not hecky’s fault now?
The hypocrisy from some of our fans is some of the most embarrassing I’ve seen.
Its been interesting watching you defend the legacy of lowe who was an absolute disgrace and has gone on to cement that with his embarrassing Wigan tenure also. A fella who has the entire off field structure geared towards him and his mates and exceptional quality loans.

Its all moot anyway when you're still picking storey Hughes and hoping Potts and brady get back asap.

So as I asked before where specifically is the manager going wrong for you?
