Heckingbottom

Just to expand on this.
The unbeaten run coincided with moving from a back 3 to a 4.
Yeah, because a back four obviously suits that group of players better.

We played a back four and got beat by Oxford at home, thanks to our soft as fuck centre backs.

I too definitely prefer a back four, like 99% of this forum (or more), but any suggestion that playing a back four with this group would automatically result in better results comes from nothing other than a dislike of wing-backs (which I do understand, on occasion).

he would have to be as no other manager would pick him let alone give him the captaincy, he can fuck off with PH and the rest of the coaching team
Sure, apart from our last four managers who all played him regularly, you clown.

Seems like Whiteman is fully behind Hecky.

Did Alex Neil get ‘chased out of here’, Ben? 🫩

Did he heck. I can’t recall a single solid ‘Neil Out’ chant.

Snide digs at the fans don’t help the cause of this set of players, but there’s plenty out there - even among the fanbase - who are more than happy to pump up their own egos by gaslighting the North End support.

If Whiteman thinks ‘people are really critical’ he should thank his lucky agent that he’s not at a Stoke, Wolves, Sheff Utd, etc where the fans can really turn on a player.

But Whiteman thinks we should be ‘patient’? 🤨

North End fans are as patient and polite as they come. 😤

If we were really ‘critical’ Ben, you wouldn’t even have had the chance of a half-decent season because you’d have been run out of the club 12 months ago.

We deserve better, on and off the pitch.

The sooner we clear the decks the better.

Yet by the end, because AN had lost interest (with hindsight understandably) because of lack of support from the owners, the majority on here wanted him out

There’s a big difference between wanting him out and ‘chasing him out’.

There was nothing anywhere near as toxic as Lowe, Westley or even Frankie.

It’s just a nonsense thing to say by Whiteman.

Anyone still Hecky In?
Yes I think he deserves a chance with a proper budget and things getting done quicker. I don’t know any manager that can lose 3 players and replace with 1 that is usable on top of losing their goalkeeper and nothing changes. I just think people expect too much without giving any thought to mitigating circumstances, they matter greatly.

I disagree, it was his choice to get rid of two of them. It was his choice to get two attacking players that didn't do anything for us. The dire football we've had to endure was his choice of tactics. I wouldn't waste a transfer window and three months on him.

Nothing against him, just his way of football.

Im not surprised Whiteman is right behind him, no pressure on him at all, coast along, get safe then plan your holidays from February onwards. These players are on easy street

Oh and patience, I've been patient watching him put in shit corner after shit corner for god knows how many seasons

Like virtually every other player, I wouldn’t miss Whiteman and it really sounds like he wouldn’t miss us either! He’s said we don’t understand the game and now he’s telling some of the most patient fans in football to be patient.

I’ll be honest. The last manager we chanted about being sacked was westley.

In the day of social media people tend to do it more online now rather than in the grounds (unless you are really bad.)

There was calls for Alex neil to be sacked (on here and Facebook) so he has a point.

I know it's not the best example, but it was also Ryan Lowe that made him club captain not Heckingbottom. So the original point is kind of void, people probably would've said Ledson for captain coz he shouts and slides about.
