Looks like today might be the day folks. After a panic about lack of movements last night we went to hospital to get checked out. Everything was fine but the machines picked up that Charlotte had started contractions.

Those contractions have got more powerful through the night and a lot more constant.

Unfortunately for me, it's a chemo day. I'm back at hospital at 9.30am and 1.30pm today. Not what I need, although I will explain my situation when I get there and see if anything can be hurried along.

Wish us luck!!

Wow!

From a similar starting position, it was at least 30 hours before our first one finally appeared!

Exciting stuff though. Good luck!

Absolutely nothing, nearly a week overdue now! We're both doing fine, I've had Saturday, Sunday and Monday feeling not so bad which is a massive positive.

Hair started falling out this weekend, I've got a patchy beard and thinning hair now. Once the hair looks ridiculous it will get shaved off, exposing my alien shaped head.

My son had one of those when born.. He was over 11 pounds so assume that the ET head was down to all the squeezing but compared to my first he popped out a few days over.... From memory my daughter was 10 days overdue... It's normal for a first mate... Keep that chin up, all will be well for you and the little one.... it is written and will all come together.. 😉

Back in for my chemo treatment now. Left my partner in her mother's company. Hopefully be home within the hour and get to witness the birth. Very excited.

RPH have been wonderfully accommodating today.
They are good like that.... It's why I'll never turn my back on them.........

We have a beautiful baby daughter, arriving at 5.39am and weighing 7lbs 6oz. Mum lost a lot of blood during delivery but is doing fine now, exhausted obviously.

Please welcome the newest PNE fan I know of, Darcie Anne Rostron.

Chuffed and proud.
Congratulations to you and Mum. What wonderful news! Have you taken Darcie to the Finney splash to baptise her yet?

All the best to you and your family. You've been so much but these moments really are most precious.
