How brave was that team selection today?

How brave was that team selection today?

This is a clip from Westley's post match interview.

“Character and the state of the players character is important to always find out about and today we saw a group of players who were playing for each other, playing for the Club, playing for me and playing for the result.

This indicates to me that Westley is pointing out that some players {players he brought to the club} don't want to play for him.

It says that the eleven who did play did want to play. No more, no less.

The team that were destroyed against Walsall was pretty much what I and many others would have selected, that doesn't mean they should all be dropped for the next game,as the majority were our best players. Walsall thoroughly deserved their SIX points off us this season, and played us off the park twice. I think for whatever reason we are better suited to playing Coventry, and could easily have beaten them in both away games. Think we were fortunate to get a point yesterday on chances created, nothing to do with Westley's genius selection & tactics.

I believe a more subtle approach may have produced the goods. This is the team I would have picked for Coventry & again for Crawley on tuesday.

Cummins

Cummins gets the nod for his performance/attitude/goal and Garner's a bit unfortunate to miss out, but new players shouldn't just walk into a side unless he's going to radically improve it. Something that has not happened thus far.

Don't know what Westley is trying to prove by dropping "Buchs" for the untried kid. It's the ultimate insult, especially as he's been one of our best players of late. It's as if he wants the lad to chuck in a transfer request, or maybe he picked that team yesterday fully expecting it to lose to get nearer the sack and a nice pay-off. As it appears to me he's given up, but his "plan" back-fired.

It just beggars belief that we finally get in an experienced, specialist right back at long last, only to promptly drop your quality left back.

Why is he so opposed to playing a balanced side/his best players.

Tell you what Graham, I was right behind you & I honestly believed you could get this club buzzing/winning again. But this "second half season" bollocks is beginning to sound like a fairy story, we're well into it now, and I'm completely sick of you treating us punters like mugs & sticking two fingers up at us.
Your job is to get results, and without doubt the best way to do that is to PICK YOUR BEST FUCKING PLAYERS on a consistent basis! Start doing it or you can piss off, and you can take Dildo Mammary with you as well (just what exactly does he do?)

Rant over.

Westley is fucked now, he has lost the middle ground now.

We are nose diving into the 1980s under this man, mark my words.

He shows nothing but utter contempt for the fans with picking the 17 year old child instead of a seasoned, highly rated pro like Buchanan.

Does he seriously expect us to believe he thought Davies would be an improvement to the team?

I can understand giving Cummins a chance, give Cov something else to think about, but why drop Beavon AND Garner? Surely one of them would benefit from playing alongside a big man.

Despite what he says in the press about second half season turnarounds, I don't think he gives a toss about results anymore. For that reason alone what the hell are we doing perservering with this guy?

I'm not one to advocate chopping and changing every 12 months, but a manager with some man-management skills could knock this lot into shape. Has to be the right man this time though. Wasted enough time with GW, he needs to go before this decline gathers even more pace.

I don't mind being hated by all our opponents if we actually got results on the pitch, but the fact is we hardly ever win & we're fast becoming the joke of football. Do it now Trev, you know it makes sense. What's the point in dragging this out? We are going nowhere (apart from Div 4 maybe) under this charlatan.
