I am obviously missing something here - but do these proposed incoming transfers,added to what's left of the current squad - look like a potential top six side to any of you?
This looks a dangerously weak side to me,and given young Darren's track record in the championship to date I can see a very difficult season ahead.
Someone please assure me that I'm being unduly pessimistic, because I've already invested in my season ticket in the hope of better things.

Surely you're taking the piss? De Laet is Prem class and much better than Callum Davidson, for example. Welbeck, Hayes and the other strikers, much better than Mellor/Elliott/Brown. Boyd much better than Wallace. Morgan much better than Collins. James is much better than Chaplow/Carter. The only ones who I'd be worried about would be Caldwell and Butt...

TBF I'd be delighted if these transfers came off but they seem more like a FM side that we would never be able to have. If we did manage to capture them and get a good spirit in the side, I'd be off to the bookies to put a bet on us getting promoted! And I'm a pessimist! However being a pessimist, only a few of these would even consider us!

As for the players coming in, there are some exciting names on that list, but the players are going to need a lot of time to gel and get used to the manager's ways. Business needs to happen soon.

Any idea of a timescale for these transfers?

What about simeon jackson surley he could do a job alongside sharp or hayes and also who is fon williams i know he plays for stockport but is he any good?

My mates a loyal Stockport fan and sais he's a brilliant shot stopper but not very commanding in the air. He's also Wales no. 2
