Is it only me who finds some of our fans inferiority complex to be completely baffling. The constant reminder that we should be thankful for not being a Sheff Wed or Bury and having custodial owners that some of the fanbase constantly peddle. The fact is, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have constructed a brilliant champ team stemming from Grayson and Neil. Pearo, Gally, Robo, DJ, Browne, Barky, Ben Davies etc all commanded next to nothing in fees. To have hit on so many cheap stabs in the dark should’ve meant we could easily adopt a player trading model. However, our entire footballing infrastructure is shambolic and there has been next to no effort to progress in a modern direction. The fact is, the Hemmings family have kept us on a shoe stringe budget which would’ve only just been suffice in the 90s. The fact is us north Enders have to unanimously agree that the time to force through change in ownership is well and truly here. Anything more than this year under IoM and we will be relegated (if not this year).

Just one question, where would we be without the Hemmings family ?

Depends.

Where would we be without their money?

We'd be completely shafted.

Where would we be without their unique strategic vision for a brave sustainable future for football in Preston? One that increased the value of the team? And repaid their generosity for their selfless investment many times over?

I think we'd be just fine without that one.

I actually think the fans would rally round with new owners and attendances would rise if season tickets were kept at a reasonable price. There hasn't been much to get excited about for years but dynamic new owners would bring a wave of optimism, even if it took a while to start moving forward.

It's one of Ridsdale's main weapons ;- frankly its overused, tired and boring and simply trying to deflect from the owners who don't invest by about another 66.66r %.
Look at the crowds Bournemouth and Brentford and Brighton have average d for the past 30 years.
Without figures to hand I'd suggest Deepdale's crowds have averaged better than those 3 clubs since 1996.
This inferiority complex is fed by Ridsdale. His whole ethos is " be happy with what you get AND how I spent it on YOUR BEHALF "

Just Pi$$ off Ridsdale. It's time to stop talking us down all the damned time

For perspective, the club has been in existence for around 146 years. The Hemmings takeover happened 16 years ago. So we've existed as a league club for 130 years without the Hemmings family.

Granted, there have been some tough times, but the club has survived - and will continue to exist - as a league club - long after the family have sailed off into the sunset.

From 99 to 2009, we were also a much better club before Hemmings shafted the shareholders and relegated us.
