Is it snowing in Preston ??

[brucey]

Equipment overhead damage between Wigan and preston. I'm currently escaping to London via crewe so probably diverted the other way too. This country's rail system is truly appalling.

What a truly appalling comment. Get to London and keep going !

[Curtiss]

Any news weather the game will go ahead or not. The pitch may very well be ok, but I've just got back from the bookies - I was like bambi on ice!

Just concerned about the conditions around the ground for safety reasons!

All being good that mate - but it really is an ice rink on the footpaths etc!

I can't imaging they'll be working on them or even put that into consideration?

It should melt pretty quick, its quite warm today.

All motorways clear and open in Lancashire.

M6 near me, Wigan, is still bad.

[BuryWhite]

Roads clogged here in Bury so I will be checking it's on before leaving. This could be a difficult trip, come on North End make it a worthwhile one for me this week.

[Thracia]

@BBCLancashire on Twitter have said they haven't had any news from PNE yet re game being off/on, but they will tweet when they get some.

[cpnend]

Sky have just said that North End have just confirmed that the game is on.

[Mr.T]

If the stadium was in Longridge the game would not stand a chance of being on. Very bad snow up here. Apparently not as bad in Preston?

[Lillywhites1]

The presenter ouside Bolton's ground who is on Live has just said in the last hour they have had word from PNE that they have been moving snow since 7:30 this morning and there is NO problem, Game ON !

[BuryWhite]

So it's on then. Thermals, flask and 4x4 ready to go. COYW

Sky news reporting a major Northbound vs Southbound snowball fight on the M6 at Junction 27 last night.
