Is Lowe evolving?
Just shows how fickle the life of a manager is looking at the latest percentages at the top of this thread.
No one really cares about how the team are playing if you're winning and up there in the table. Then you go on a run like we have and the knives are out.
For the record for me
West Brom, We were awful.
Leicester. Decent for 60 minutes, perfectly good goal disallowed.
Ipswich. Gash.
Millwall. Should have had a penalty.
Southampton. Should have had a penalty and hit with a total sucker punch at the end.
Hull. Should have had a penalty.
If those dodgy decisions go our way, 4 out of those 6 games could end very differently and we are still in the play offs.
Some fans had the knives out for Lowe from the start, or shortly into his tenure. They've been slowly sharpening them ever since.
TBF though, if things don't improve this season Lowe must be on borrowed time.
The football hasn't been good since he arrived. It was so dull and boring last season, (at home anyway, where the majority of fans are present) and things seem to be heading down the same path this season.
This would be palatable if the results were good and we were winning, like earlier in the season. But when you're not winning (or losing more often than not) and the football is shite at the same time, the paying fans won't put up with it.
Lowe has had a fair chance now and he's also had money to spend this summer. Yes we're still short of quality in a couple of positions, but he's got more than enough at his disposal to get us playing some better stuff whilst winning games more often.
Don't think I can stand yet another season of utterly boring 'football' at Deepdale that once again brings us a mid table finish at best.
If we continue to slide down the table and our performances don't improve by Christmas, then he can go for me.
All the stats being presented here back up what fans can see with their own eyes. But let's see what happens.

Think Lowey had absolutely near universal backing, probs most enthusiasm I can recall for appointment of a new preston north end manager. Some fans had the knives out for Lowe from the start, or shortly into his tenure. They've been slowly sharpening them ever since.

Into Alex Neil?
Absolutely. From when he took over until that Summer, he had plenty of support amongst most fans.Think Lowey had absolutely near universal backing, probs most enthusiasm I can recall for appointment of a new preston north end manager.

Cheers chaExcellent assessment Rodney.
Maybe a little. I think Lowe is still trying to work out his strongest eleven and which formation suits them best. To be fair to those three, I think they've adapted to the league pretty well. It's only really Osmaijic who has taken a little longer of them.Do you think we're suffering a bit from Lowe having to embed new players such as Millar, Osmijic and Mads and get them up to speed and used to the championship?
Aye I think we are. Hughes/Cunningham are too injury prone to rely on them both. Brady has continued his form from the end of last season. I think some of our defensive issues have come from the midfield too. Ledson can sometimes throw himself in and leave a gap behind him. Whiteman just looks a bit too casual in defence.Do you think we're suffering from poor recruitment in defence and down the left hand side of our team?
We were doing well at the start of the season to cope with the injuries we had but they take their toll eventually. Keane was on great form before his injury. We haven't had a fully fit squad yet once this season. Potts has been our only RWB. I don't like Ledson and Whiteman as a defensive midfield pairing. McCann needs to be with one of them or perhaps just on his own. Cunningham doesn't have the legs to provide what Hughes can. Who knows what Riis could've provided had he been available. He did well with the direct football under McAvoy, the direct football we're playing now could've suited him too.And how do you think injuries to Keane, McCann and Hughes have effected us?
I agree with the earlier comments about fans not caring when the results are going your way, what is letting Lowe down is that the football on offer is generally so dull and poor that once the results are not going his way then he won't be given the support, at least with the fans, that perhaps the current league position demands.
What also doesn't help him is the bollocks he spouts, if he was honest and perhaps less bombastic he might be given a bit more leeway.

Unsurprising and disgraceful
Data speaks for itself.
Oof, pretty damning.
And yet he keeps creative players on the bench because he presumably doesn't think they press enough, while having Slidy McLedson pick up his weekly appearance fee while creating the sum total of fuck all.

I thought this analysis was interesting. It’s for Premier league teams, 6 games into this season - but you can see a clear trend of pressing high amongst the successful sides. It’s something we pretty much stopped doing during our recent crap run and on the odd occasion we do do it, we always look better.

As title suggests.
When RL first took over, there was a huge boom, the club seemed to reconnect with the fan base and many more ST were sold.
RL seems to have taken a bit of stick (warranted or not) but it seems to me that he is evolving as a manager. This system and brand that he is seemingly wed to seems to have evolved - it seems to me that he is finding different ways to win games.
Give the guy the tools.
COYW!!!
He got them and hasn't a clue what to do with them.... 🙂
