ISA Reunion Night

ISA Reunion Night

The ISA loved a manager who took preston down and couldn't get them back up again and that time under him in bottom division while not as bad as the Kidd Booth era was something id rather forget not remember with fondness so not for me ill be out elsewhere that night.

Remember going to a couple of these meetings as a teenager in the 90s at London Road Labour Club.

They were class.
Me too, I remember Saville and Wilkinson being the guest's on one occasion, I got to ask them a question too, before we could Google or had even heard of it..
My question was..have you ever played against each other and if so who was the winner? Sav very quickly replied... we've never met before!!

At the time the ISA made a real difference. The club was in terminal decline and communications with the fan base was nonexistent. Sound familiar!

If we engaged with current/prospective ownership that could only be a positive. It worked with the Baxi Group and look what the club achieved from progression on the pitch to rebuilding the stadium.

I’ll be there and looking forward to seeing some old faces I only occasionally bump into these days.

I was asked by a bloke in the car park of London Road Labour Club if I could help him carry some items into the venue.

Said "Yeah, no worries".

Opened his car boot and he passed to me a replica model of what is now Deepdale. Was a couple of foot in length.

The blokes name? Ben Casey.

Would have been around 93 or 04.

93 or 94, not 04, only just noticed this error.

In those days there used to be a chap stood on Deepdale Rd near Legends selling pin badges off a large board....thats where i got my ISA badge....

The ISA brought the club into the modern era on many ways, one being purchasing equipment to film all their games.

Built a scaffolding platform by the west Stand tunnel to film from

Yeah, we were allowed to do that fairly recently, until some people decided to create PSC, which meant any questions to the powers that be were limited to the PSC themselves. A complete farce

To be fair it is not PSC's fault (I am not a member).

That decision lies totally at the door of the club and the senior management.
