There you go, 06, nothing better on a summer's day...I’ve e always wanted to sit on a village green with a picnic and beverages while watching cricket

I stopped being be overly bothered about football in general a while ago and cricket is my main sport now anyway but two days spent at Farington this week reminded me how much more enjoyment I get from a day at cricket than a couple of hours football. It was £15 for non members, we arrived at 10 and left at 6:30 and the day just flew by. Players mixing freely with spectators, respect for others, comfy seating, Peter Ridsdale wasn’t there. Nice chat with Mr and Mrs Ando!Agreed, cricket is fucking brilliant and it's a sport I much prefer at local level (I struggle to watch local/non league football). Fox Lane cricket club in Leyland is one of the best local grounds IMO, cheap booze and great food for £20 per year membership. Decent standard of player across the first four teams as well. The young staff are all absolutely great too.
Fuck North End.
Agree Durutti, i love my cricket too....i'm heading off down to Fox Lane today for a game of bowl's and catch any cricket that's on.....it's a great set up as you say 👍🏻Agreed, cricket is fucking brilliant and it's a sport I much prefer at local level (I struggle to watch local/non league football). Nobody is happy clapping here. Want more. Demand more if need be. But fuck North End? That’s plastics mentality. We’re better than that.
Not sure what this has to do with the Preston/Celtic fans relationship
We go to watch Euxton but if they aren't playing at home then we go and watch Leyland ..... Both clubs have got nice bar facilitiesAgreed, cricket is fucking brilliant and it's a sport I much prefer at local level (I struggle to watch local/non league football). I’ve still got my season ticket more from fear of missing out I think but the way football is played these days, the greed of players, the arrogance of many connected with the game, players like Whiteman and their contempt for the fans (we don’t understand the game apparently, I wonder if that’s the response he gets if he questions his children’s teacher ie go away Mr Whiteman you don’t understand teaching), Sam Matterface …… I might not be able to carry on much longer.
By using the word 'the' you are implying it's something that actually exists rather than something you have imagined and literally every other poster who commented on here has told you doesn't exist. Not sure what this has to do with the Preston/Celtic fans relationship
...and at any club you can sign up, become a member & even get a game yourself in a friendly or on Chairman's Day events regardless of your age/ability.Yep. I think the fact that tiny local clubs like Farington and Leyland with many volunteers involved get and make connections with their customers...it really leaves no excuse for complete and utter cunts like Ridsdale making 400-500k a year does it?
Local cricket clubs, take my cash. You've earned it. PNE, I think I'm done.
