We certainly will see, and I sincerely hope you're right and i'm wrong.

I don't think selling Lonergan would be good business at all. However I do think that he would be better off moving on in order to further his career. Whilst he continues at P.N.E. in the championship under the current regime, he will never be looked at by the England manager, and i'd rather have him than any of the three keepers that travelled to South Africa.

If he goes, he will do so with my best wishes and Good Luck for Brazil 2014!

Sadly my 100 quid bet with Hunter Lionheart that Ferguson will take us down or be sacked is looking more and more like easy money 🙁 All the people thinking with all these players leaving we're going on a massive spending spree are far removed from reality. Bargain basement players with a clueless pillock to manage them is a combination which can only bring us one of the worst seasons in PNE history 🙁 Bamber Bridge and Chorley will be getting the better of us at this rate.

Still, at least we're prepared for the inevitable. We have the League 1 manager, come on Ferguson, let's be seeing more League 1 players, surely there's a few more Peterborough lads who'd love to be a part of consecutive relegations masterminded by you 🙄

Couldn't agree more bsk4eva, i'll take a 21st place finish now just so we can stay in the league,

Also bar the departure of Wallace the rest of them would have sent us down anyway.

I don't wanna see my team getting smashed in every week, but as it stands i can't see any other outcome.

What a surprise , irvines illegitimate right on cue ! If we sell lonners for £2m and bring in an experienced keeper for next to nothing , one who commands his defence and his box then that is good business. We will have a younger , hungrier , faster squad next season and one worth paying money to watch . The players we have brought in so far are an improvement to those going or gone , what is the problem ?

We already have a replacement for Wallace in Keith Treacy. We also have Paul Parry and Danny Mayor who can play on the left (as well as 1st year pros Jamie Douglas and Neil Dougan).

There is also time for several more new signings! 😎
 
Anyone who thought we weren't going to take offers for any of our players still hasn't grasped the seriousness of the situation Simpson, Irvine, Hemmings and Shaw had led us into.
Its only through the stubborness of Hemmings wanting to get his money back that we still have a club at all.
I really don't give a flying fuck if we sell the entire team and go down with points in the single figures if it means that in a year from now my team is still in existence.
If we can get a few hundred thousand for Lonergan then so be it.

I was answering the point made that The players brought in by Ferguson are better than the one's that have gone or going.

If you think that any of the players that you mention are better than Wallace then fine, that's your opinion.
Mine is..............they're not!
 
BSK you need to go across the pennines and give us all a rest - if you despie the club so much then stay away. Re Lonners in this market we will be able to sign a quality replecement for very little. The whole squad is being revamped and Lonners would be a casualty etc but the majority have been expensive flops.

Yes Ian Rush , Ryan Giggs shit players . Mind you if it gives your anti Ferguson views more credence among a few anglofiles then bully for you .
