Lonergans save

A good save or a bad miss by Lita?

Probably a bit of both, but once again it was an example of him being decent when he doesn't have to think about anything, whilst the long ranger that he let through was another example that if he actually has to consciously do something, he tends to fuck up.

haha. He did his job on 7 shots on target and didnt do his job on one.

The outfield however didnt do their job most of the match.

Does the fact lonergan should have dont better cancel out the midfield allowing a centre half to waltz forward and get a shot in?

Shaky, it was poor goalkeeping, however the the point is yet again, that a centre half was allowed to carry the ball from the half way line to the edge of our area and get a shot away, which is as huge defensive crime by our central midfielders.

I wouldn't go as far as it was an unbelievable save?

An unbelievable save was that of Gordan Banks many years ago and the one i seen from Lonners yesterday was no where near!

After seeing it again I am inclined to agree. Id only seein it in person at the game and from where we were, it was unbelievable how, after that ball was squared, lita didnt score and as it was down to lonergans save, this led to my description.
