Just booked the train on the Avanti website. Friends have Railcards but I got 20% off for being a group of 3 which was a bonus! We paid £26 & £32 respectively.

I'd actually look at getting on the toll road and going the long way around. This junction has been shut before and they don't shut off the local traffic so the up and over the roundabout thing involves giving way to traffic crossing the motorway. Madness.

Only adds an extra 20 mins so worth it for the time saved by not doing the diversion. Only trouble is the extra £12 in toll charges!!
