He chairs/ leads the EFL Board meetings, he has been directly involved in the discussions/ negotiations, and has made zero progress. Sounds familiar to his internal dealings at PNE.Presume you’re talking about the potential new deal between the Premier League and the EFL. The failure to get a deal is absolutely nothing to do with Peter Ridsdale, it’s simply because the Prem clubs don’t want to give any more money to the lower leagues. As Sullivan the owner of Wesf Hsm said, ‘Tesco doesn’t give money to the corner shop’. They’ll only move now is there is the threat of government regulation; otherwise what’s in it for them ?
The EPL representatives must be in hysterics, they're dealing with an illiterate convicted fraudster, whom has no conceptual understanding of accounting/ fiscal principals.
West Ham's equivalent of PR is similarly a relic of the past, quoting Tesco and corner shops as if its 1998 isn't an analogy I would take seriously.
The government stepping in should ring alarm bells, one of the most incompetent government's in living memory are infinitely more capable of enforcing change than are the self-appointed custodians of our game. Perhaps the EFL Board should consider the 'conflict of interest ' principle when determining the composition of said Board.
