Obviously been told he will be leaving. Doesn't want to be out injured for his new club, whoever that may be. Only my guess.
Shows he cares, and doesn't want to miss any football.
What's your problem with that?
Deepest sympathies to the physio and his family of course.
What's wrong with him realising he is injured and not wanting to carry on incase he makes it worse?

The least he could have done was to wait until the sub was ready to come on before walking down the tunnell ,and he wasn't limping,so it wasn't that urgent.

Got to admit his reaction didn't sit right with me. I don't know what he was trying to do, maybe he was hoping that sitting down on the pitch would get him a bit of treatment and a helping hand off the pitch but the way he shrugged his shoulders and spoke to one of his team-mates who came over didn't seem quite right.
Similarly Parry was seen on camera having words with someone as he came off - I can understand that he maybe wanted to carry on but it may be that Unsworth and Alexander (or is that Alexander and Unsworth) need to remind the players just who is in charge - for the moment at least.
Disappointing that it was the experienced players that threatened to undermine a solid performance on the pitch. Hopefully they'll seek and get the right advice from the right people within the game (such as Moyes and Davies) in how to make the step-up from players/coaches to managers, and be given the necessary authority from the Chairman to manage the squad appropriately for however long it may be.

And the guy's only just got back from a spell out... he must be well frustrated.... and who know's if he could, or could not carry on.

The guy pulled up with an injury, 2/3 minutes later he realised he couldnt play on. He was in constant communication with bench. Players are told to sit down to show the need treatment and wait for a break in play. Mellor did this. There is no reason to attack a player for doing what he was told. To many people on here quick to bash our players and should seriously ask themselves if they are really fans? Mellor was disappointed to go off and after treatment he came back out to take his place on the bench and supported the guys with advice. No need for people to makeup bullshit to bash a player. Its no wonder players can't wait to get out of Deepdale with fans like this. Make sure you dont fall over your own head when u hang it in shame at such a stupid post.
This seems an entirely rational explanation. Comment confirming this from the management would be very helpful, if so.

The commentators on sky were making out that our management wanted him to carry on playing and that he seemed to sit down in protest. They talked utter shit throughout the whole game. I'm sure our Chairman has told him he better be fit before the transfer window opens.
