Personally I'm embarrassed by the chav scum and their moronic antics.

Yes, they are a minority, but it's up to us, the majority, to make them realise that their behaviour is not acceptable to us majority and not part of what supporting Preston North End is about.

In the end, that's what ended the hooliganism in the 90s . Not the government, not the membership card scheme, not the all seater stadia, but the ordinary supporter who likes a beer, a laugh and a sing song, but without the fighting and moronic stuff, reclaiming the game.

I don't want to go back to those days of the 70s, 80s and early 90s, but to sometime like the mid 90s, when the violence had gone out of following football, but the atmosphere remained. We are heading if we don't watch it to the worst of both worlds, atmosphereless, but not even family friendly either.

Word.

Anyone who knows me will testify I like a good booze up as much as the next man, and have even been known to drink to excess on occasion.

But unlike some absolute fuckwits with the brains of a dead frog I know how to have a good time without annoying the fuck out of everybody else.

Boys will be boys and all that, but when the dicking about goes too far and the bar ends up getting closed, not for the first time, denying me my half time beverage, then I should be allowed a right of reply.

Mossy & Outreacher are obviously well crazy bastards who's idea of fun is vandalism, shoving people about, throwing beer about, and frightening women and kids. Well naughty! I get my kicks in other ways.

And to that dick who said why can't families stay off the concourse and bring a packed lunch to away games, talk about missing the point! Why the hell should they!? As far as I know, the refreshment bar and toilets are there for all, and not just neanderthals.

It seems you don't have to be a dick to follow North End, but it helps.

Bang on the money again, as usual Neal.

Football fight club was one of the funniest shows I have seen in a while.

Must have been good at scrapping though as after every fight (done away from the cameras of course) not one of them had a hair out of place.

like the if Carl is 24 , he must have had a hard paper round one

Fuck me; I half expected ''Terry'' out of that dogging documentary on C4 to show up there. Now we've got the Bury firm. Where's the bloody banjos?

I find it truly astounding that the holier than thou brigade on here think that the behaviour of some PNE fans is unacceptable yet they'll happily sit at their computer screen and insult people they don't even know. Maybe some of you lot should take a look in the mirror regarding attitude change.

Two wrongs not making a right me thinks

When you go to an away game and take kids with you, be prepared for a bit of daft behaviour. These young supporters went for a game of football and a good piss up.

Its like taking your kid to a blackpool game in blackpool and expecting everyone to behave, not gonna happen.

I don't see anybody claiming to be "holier than thou"? If people want to act like selfish cretins, then I am quite within my rights to comment about it. Especially as their dickish behaviour impacted on me directly as I was denied a pint.

I don't have to "know" these people personally to know what is right and wrong.

I might have thought like you at one time, and found it mildly amusing, but showing consideration for others isn't a bad trait to have you know. Maybe you aren't old enough to know the difference between right and wrong?

When you grow up you might understand? Now off you pop, and go and play tig or something.

This is a discussion for grown ups.

😀 Many moons ago Neal, many moons ago.

I'm a forty year old on the wrong side of two spine operations cha, I like a nice sit down.

The difference is I remember what it was like to be that age, I remember being like that and much much worse. It's been like that for many many years, it's just that nowadays you get threads like this so people with short memory's can sit in the comfort of home and whine about the behavior of the youth of day.

Yes what they do is wrong, and I'm not fan of a pyro craze that's come round, but I'd rather spend 1 hour in the company of these young men than a week with 90% of people on this board.

Wasn't including you in the holier than thou brigade Neal. Hadn't even read your post. Your comments are hardly 'grown up' though.

I'm sure you'd soon get fed up of 10 German bombers and getting soaked in ale.

18-21 year olds vandalising pubs and concourses, as well as having no respect or consideration for their fellow supporters, is downright embarrassing. I don't know how anyone can see it any differently. If it's 14-16 year olds I can kind of understand it cos they're still school kids.

But why do some people (very few) on here seem to assume that if you don't like smashing up pubs and throwing your beer over everyone that you don't know how to enjoy yourself? Genuinely baffling. I get leathered on every away day I go to and have a great time, but I drink my beer rather than throw it over everyone, and I chant & converse with fellow North End fans rather than push them around and generally piss them off.

I always find it strange that people would queue for ages and then chuck their beer away! You'd have to assume it's because they are lightweights.

Waste of any kind, particularly alcohol, is totally against my principles.

In any case we can't compare today's antics to the 70s and 80s, as booze wasn't available at the ground in those days chaaaaaaaaaa.

As I said to stf4ever, I would probably have found it a hoot if I was a young lad, but being the same age as you, and a little older and wiser, I cringe at some of the bellendish behaviour, when these shitehawks think they're being absolutely hilarious!

But, people can act like bellsmashes as much as they want, just as long as it doesn't impact on me. Yesterday it did, as I was denied a pint. This is unforgivable and I want lifetime bans handed out to all who were involved.

And that's all I'm going to say on the matter. (I think)
