Micky Mellon on his way!

Micky Mellon on his way!

Have you ever been to Fleetwood? The locals aren't renowned for their use of 'words'. The last time I visited we went in a pub with a sheep in the cellar, then some inbred told us to 'fuck off before I slit ya gizzards'.

Bloody pirates.

I go to Rossall, which is in Fleetwood.

He's staying at Fleetwood, had it from the horses mouth,he said "Why would i want to go to Preston when i have everything i want here"

I used to be at KGS and played many times against Rossall at rugby. I note your location is only round the corner from KGS!

Yes, I live only 5 minutes from KGS. However, my parents decided to send me to Rossall.

Which way did the results often go versus us? KGS would quite easily beat us now, but we used to be a strong rugby school.

Fleetwood will be a bigger club than Preston in about 3 years ....

We need an owner like their's, he treats that club just like a big boy's toy. He knows what to do to get promoted and he's doing exactly that. Good Luck to them. Plus some of their fans dislike Blackpool as much as us 🙂!

All credit to Fleetwood for what they have achieved on the pitch and the new stand is pretty impressive. To me the place is like any town with a mixture of the good the bad and th others etc.

Could I just interject with the following:

If Micky Melon is the answer, then it will only be the answer if the question was "Name a fat knecked lasher bastard who has yet to prove that he can do anything with an average team in the professional leagues"

He has a charmed life at Fleetwood - they have a benefactor who is prepared to spend (they signed Jamie Vardy for a fee when we baulked at that deal) and they have a chance of success this season.

Melon can be translated to Lemon - the risk is too great.

BBD!!!!

Surely North End wouldn't be stupid enough to appoint yet another rookie manager, especially an ex-Lasher. It would be like Simpson all over again. If they want to do it on the cheap, at least give Grezza and Unsworth a chance, both Nobbers through and through. My first choice would be BD, however.

IAN Holloway has urged Preston to look at Micky Mellon in the search for their new manager.

North End are without a manager after Phil Brown left by mutual consent earlier in the week.

And Blackpool manager Holloway, who is a close friend of Mellon, has backed his Fleetwood Town counterpart for the Deepdale hotseat.

Holloway said: “If I was Preston and I was looking for a new manager, I’d look no further than Micky Mellon.

“He’s going to be a top manager one day, if he isn’t already.”

“We’ve bounced a few ideas off each other over the last couple of years. He came to see me a few times and I’ve never met anyone as enthusiastic about football.

“He was maybe even more enthusiastic than me. I couldn’t shut him up and he couldn’t shut me up.

“We became friends throughout that first season I was here.

“We might have fallen out a little bit last season, but when I needed some support the other week he was there for me.

“Until I came here I always just saw him as a Bristol City man and I was Rovers, so we never really spoke.

“But I’m glad we do now – he’s a top man
