Yes the best place for a pre-match drink next Saturday will be the London Bridge area. There is at least one pub just across the road from the station on the south side furthest away from the river in Saint Thomas Street can't remember its name, there are several pubs including the George down Borough High Street effectively the continuation of the bridge itself and there are more in the Borough Market area around the cathedral on the opposite side of Borough High Street. You then need to be back at London Bridge Station to get a train to South Bermondsey which has a protected walkway to the ground. Do not get a train to New Cross or New Cross Gate stations since you will then have a lengthy walk back with the locals for company.
Millwall Pubs
The Bunch of Grapes is the one at the top of Saint Thomas Street. Nothing special that one.
The big Fuller’s pub is OK on the main road nearer the station. Barrow Boy and Banker. Watched Forest beat PNE 3 nil in there when McKenna scored.

Never knew this was Millwall territory.Do not get a train to New Cross or New Cross Gate stations since you will then have a lengthy walk back with the locals for company.
Was there in 92 for a gig (Preston Band (Dreamland) - we piled down, about 15 fans in a minibus) and we got off at New Cross to walk a mile or so to The Amersham Arms for the gig. Think Brixton was one stop earlier?
Spent the day in South Kensington looking for a shop the girl I was with Auntie owned - tried on a 2k Leather Jacket when I was there, 1992 prices! - before hitting Covent Garden then the tube to New Cross as above.
I did wonder at the time why the locals were looking at us, myself with long hair, cut off shorts and 8 Hole DMs. 😂

It very definitely is Millwall territory which is why there is the protected walkway from South Bermondsey. Brixton is miles away - the next stop back up the line is London Bridge.
Memory must be playing tricks on me with Brixton then.It very definitely is Millwall territory which is why there is the protected walkway from South Bermondsey. Brixton is miles away - the next stop back up the line is London Bridge.
This is where we walked to from New Cross.

I’ve always thought the protected walkway is a bit pointless as we mix with their fans on the platform and on the train anyway.
My lad lives at Elephant. Always go The George plenty pubs around London Bridge. Millwall go in The Kings Head but we went in and mixed well a good craich they don't eat their young.
Simple train to The New Den from LB but you can walk it via The Bermondsey mile. Wouldnt bother going to the spoons at Canada water bit of a hike.
There is a spoons off Tower bridge if looking for a cheap scoop.
If you fancy a decent beer with food and atmosphere try Mercato Metropolitano or The Cuban bars near Elephant arches.

Anyone know how many we sold for this, London is generally well supported

Don’t know how many we have sold but it appears not enough to open up the upper tier. Similar to last year. We used to take a lot more to Millwall but maybe RL has killed the enthusiasm enough for folk not to want to do the 11 hour round trip.
We forgot the Old Kings Head which is a couple of streets before the George.
Decent little Victorian boozer.
Getting in the mood now. PNE followed by the Frank and Walters.
Starting off with a curry in Stortford tonight where my two night’s free accommodation is.
If Carlsberg etc etc

Horniman at Hays for me on the Thames by London Bridge. Lovely spot but will probably need to re-mortgage prior to stepping foot inside as is usual for London.
Not been to Wall in a few years. Taking my eldest daughter which is slightly concerning me given that my old man would never take me when I was young. Guessing times have changed a bit now. Thinking this will be 1-1 with about 800 PNE there.

That’s my favourite. As reasonably priced as any in that area. And fewer tourists than most (I don’t count football supporters as tourists!).We forgot the Old Kings Head which is a couple of streets before the George.

You won’t have a problem, I found millwall fans pretty friendly on my last visit, Sort of place if you want trouble you’ll find it but if you are not they are a decent bunch.
One of my fave away trips London Bridge before game few pints and lots of quality food on sale round the market. Enjoy I’m jealous. 😂
