Thought I’d do a post to trigger so more nerves on this forum…
First of all although I’m happy to give Lowe more time (Stop reading Now 😃) But I’m not enjoying the current run of results, and although the stats reference xG etc are a pretty terrible read atm I don’t see our style of football is as terrible when we do try to control possession and work the opposition as some people are making out. I.E first half yesterday / Leeds … but on the flip there are the performances against Shef wed etc that frustrates the hell out of me. It’s just feels like even when we do play relatively good and even when we do win there seems to be a lack of some sort of cutting edge.
Anyway this brings me onto what I want to bring up, yesterday I heard several things during and after the Match reference Lowes substitutions / Lowe not coming over to the fans ….
Out of every possible scenario Lowe could have chosen ref substitutions I dont think it would have made much of a difference. Cheds come on plenty of times and changed matches for us and Riis produces moments of madness shooting from mad angles which was more than likely was going to be our most likely opportunity to grab a goal. They wasn’t bad subs in my opinion they just didn’t work because the opposition were on another level to us. He could have set up to try not concede he could have set up to try and attack and either way the chances are we would have got picked apart at some point unless the FA cup gods decided it was finally our time to have a little bit of luck but they didn’t.
Lowe could have come over to us travelling fans at the end and he would have got given shit or he could have done what he did and got given shit either way when the results are going the way they are no matter what he does he is going to get given shit.
If he turns left he should have turned right if turns right he should have turned left.
Is Lowe a self centred narcissist? Yes he is. So are a large majority of people in football.
Does he want to succeed at Pne? I honestly think he does more than people realise. I mean 6 wins a row in Professional football isn’t a fluke is it? Surely. I have faith he can turn it around .. for now still.
Maybe cut him some slack or at the very least stop with the tasteless personal attacks on a guy that’s trying his best to succeed and cut me some slack in the replies…. This after all is just an opinion, But il start …..
