Mike was the only mod I can remember who used to regularly offer explanations as to the mods' group actions, and he got his head shot off repeatedly. Perhaps the mods since then have been mindful of this and tend to keep their heads down.
I called for transparancy from the mods during the election to stop this exact sort of thing from happening. Sadly the suggestion seems to have fallen on deaf ears !!
Perhaps post a poll and if enough Patrons vote for the idea of Mod transparency then they surely should have to act on the suggestion....
First off Randall let me say sorry I have not replied to you. I have not been well all week and have been on the forum very intermitently. I am new to the moderation team and am just getting used to what is a surprise and, being very honest technical is not my best point. No doubt someone will have pm'd you regarding your thread removal.
Well no one has PM'd me with an answer for my infraction!

Thanks for the reply Joan. PrestonSG replied to a PM I sent (he wasn't aware that a thread had vanished either) but I've not had any other response as yet.
Just to add - it was my fault. I did indeed delete the thread pending discussion and should've notified Randall sooner (my apologies for my mistake).
The thread has now been reinstated and cleaned up.
If you have any criticism regarding moderation in this matter, please aim it at me and not the rest of the mod team.

Not being argumentative, but do you not think that the mods get as pissed off with some of us as some of us do with them? Just a thought. It must be hard trying to keep on an even keel and you can't keep everyone happy all the time. What someone finds offensive, the next person won't, but no doubt they get quite a few pm's over the course of the day re someone complaining about someone else...they do work, (the ones that I know) as well as being on here and it appears to be an extremely thankless task at times.
I can't personally recall having reported anyone on here but sometimes I see the ones who seem to be complaining the most (and this is most certainly not aimed at you Randall...just a generalisation) about someone's posts on this forum give as good as they get or give even more sometimes!
I wouldn't be a mod for all the tea in China with all the baying wolves around on this forum.

I certainly agree that it's a thankless task, and I for one would never want the job. Shabbagaz has sorted the matter now. He apologised for taking too long to respond to my question, which I accept and I consider the matter now closed. Fair play, they got back to me in the end, and that's all I ever asked for. 🙂

I can categorically say I didn't rip into anyone, other than the pope. Looks like now WIBG has gone, the church is off limits...
