I wouldn't give that advice lightly. It costs a lot to get an infraction overturned. I had to remortgage my house.

Well that explains where the few votes I've had in the past have come from. It's appreciated. As far as I'm concerned though, I've offered to be a mod too many times now, and I'm clearly not needed.

I think this forum operating on VB 4.2, is years out of date, we don't need mods to dish out infractions, what is needed are technically minded forum operators who can update this site tothe latestsoftware. Haven't seen any mods talking about the state of the forum.

They probably won't be much help because they don't support vb4.2 anymore, a bit like windows XP.
It's been mentioned on this thread and a few others. They don't want to update the software as they want to move to different software altogether and the migration is simpler and proven from this version. Moving to newer vbulletin would prolong staying on vbulletin
migration See how this is typing, won't bother to cut and paste it into the right order. Forum is broken - fix it if your a mod, or lobby the owners.
Well don't um and ha about it. move it to different software, I am sure we could put up with a few days of delays.

To be honest it's only you and Marcus Lawrenson who have trouble with posts not appearing in any semblance of order so it's presumably not been that high a priority to do so for the bulk of users. Like I said the owners know, still have a plan, but also have lives outside of here. The place is still functioning as a forum ultimately.
