Rovers stay up, Burnley surely down, and Bolton maybe coming up? That would mean 6 tasty local derbies next season. Made me wonder what the record was for local derbies in a season? If we add the lashers and maybe wigan(?) to the above 3 ( even Fleetwood now I suppose?) then it's possible we could have 12....14 or more....
If you were to extend the derby idea slightly.....we might include stockport,Salford and Carlisle ( well, they think it's a derby! )
My personal faves are the 1-0 promotion win at Wigan with 10k nobbers in the away ends. Also ( as an oldie.....) several cracking Bolton games in the 60s.....although many of those were in the cup.
Regards to all.

There should be some good away followings at Deepdale next season , especially if Leeds and WBA don’t go up thru the play offs.. add to them Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bolton, Derby, Burnley, Blackburn , Sheff Utd and Pompey

Thanks for replies so far everyone. I agree that the likes of wigan and the rest arent really local derbies as most understand. My question was really when last were the local 5 ( lashers, us,rovers, burnley and bolton) all in the same division? ( I tried to google it but couldnt get a definitive answer!)
Regards.

That Wigan one is definitely one of my favourites as well. Not only did it make promotion a formality but it also meant that we would almost certainly win the league as well. Huge vociferous following that night.

Last season we had us, Rovers, Burnley, Lashers & Wigan

Nah, not for me……

We only have 3 derbies in my eyes , Blackpool , Blackburn and Burnley and I don’t actually mind Burnley…..

Hate the other two though…….
I class Bolton as a derby too . Probably more than rovers up to about 5 seasons ago . They was our only derby back in the late 80s-early 90s .
